Stringing specs for PB 10 Mid

I have been a Tour 90 user and moved to PB 10 Mid a week back. I was using RPM Blast on mains (55 lbs) and Xcel Power on crosses (54 lbs) on the tour 90 and strund the PB10 with the same.

While the racquet feels great on serves, backhands etc, havent found the control yet on the forehand, especially on short angles.. also feels a touch underpowered.

have a feeling this is related to the choice of string tension on mains vs crosses. The PB10 head is shaped in such a way that mains are much longer than crosses. Should i reduce the tension on crosses ? Any help from PB10 mid users
is appreciated.

Note: This has been discussed extensively on the PB 10 Mid threads.

It is most likely not the string job, as your crosses are already looser, when you take into consideration the poly vs multi differential. However, if your mains are moving a lot, and the crosses aren't, then drop your cross string tension. Volkl has been recommending the cross string tension drop since the DNX Line came about, but BITD, they used to recommend a 1-1.5 kilos for all of their sticks.

This stick was designed to be modified by the player and to move faster than the PB 10 Mid. Because of that, most players have to make an adjustment with their FH's, since the racquet moves through the air so quickly, or else, they a little lead tape at either 12, or at 2/10.

Per TennisMaverick's recommendation, I added a little lead of at 10 and 2. It really changes the feel of the frame on contact. Couldn't be happier with it. BTW, I've strung mine with RPM Blast at 43m/40c and like the way that feels.

What amount of lead would you reccomend? (for control on the FH and maybe some added stability/ plow, i find the racquet to be too powerful if anything)

Try a little at a time. I recommended 1.5 inches, using 1/2 in width tape, at 2/10 and he[Hominator] said that it solved the problem.

If you want more than that after you try it, research my posts on the PB 10 thread, where I gave three different set-ups that some of my guys have been using.
