Suggestions for hybrids with gut

Hi all,
I have not posted in a year so be patient with me if I am asking the same questions as everyone else. I recently started trying hybrids (17g Babolat VS gut mains @54# and 18g Pro Hurricane crosses @ 54#) on my C-10s. Prior to this, I was using 17g Laserfibre supreme or 16g Laserfibre Prostock. The prostock lasted 1 1/2 weeks and the hybrids/Supreme lasted about 3-4 weeks. I definitely like the feel of the hybrid over the multi's however the Supreme cost me $11 (I string my own job) whereas the hybrid cost me $26 ($40 + $12/2). Would I be better off using a slightly cheaper gut or even tonic gut? What about a different poly or syn gut such as Alu or PSG with Duraflex? I am also looking for a bit more power by stringing my tension slightly below mid range for the c-10s. Thanks in advance.

stick with babolat as their gut is superior to all other gut (even the Tonic) and if you want a little more durability try the ektelon powerplay (under Prince) as opposed to ALU because teh poly would cut the gut alot faster plus, you get alot more feel, though with the ALU you get alot more pop in your strokes, just experiment and you'll find what YOU like. It's all personal preference.

alotta people can tell many comboes to try but in the end tis' gonna be up to you to see what you feel is right for your playing style.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have noticed that the Pro Hurrican does cut into my gut rather quickly.
