Suggestions for light but fairly durable shoes

I have been looking around at the various brands and some that seem interesting are asics and the new vapors. I have played with the barricades and nike breathe cage II but it feels like they are holding me back. Any suggestions for a light but fairly durable shoe is appreciated.

ive only ever heard good things about the asics dude and thinking of them my self. DO NOT GET FEATHERS, durability is crap

I think there are 2 issues: The first is the design of the shoe, but more importantly is the fit. The aciscs gel resolution fit me perfectly and seem to be holding up pretty good. The Yonex are also very light and fast but not real durable. Those didn't fit my foot nearly as well so they kinda held me back.

The only one is Cage II, not too heavy, yet durable like the Barricade.

I like the Asics Resolution (first version) - very light and well ventilated. I don't drag my feet much when I played so they lasted about 6 months before I really began seeing some wear through the sole. Tread wear started maybe a month into my wearing the shoes but so far traction has still been pretty good. The Resolution looked kind of like my Asics running shoes too, so not too bulky looking.

I was going to replace mine with the new Resolution 2 but got tempted by the Barricades sale plus a great deal I got so I bought a couple pairs. I'm still trying to get used to this bulkier weight of the Barricades...

The Nike Vapor 5's were fairly light and durable... I'm assuming the same for the Vapor 6's

Asics gel challengers are a comfortable, and very light weight shoe, and is very durable as well. Fits like a glove, no break in required. Fits me great, and is one of the lightest shoes.

Thank you all for your responses. I am leaning towards buying a pair of the Asics for my upcoming college season.
