Sunglasses help needed...

I'm looking for a pair of sunglasses to wear when playing tennis.

I've tried the Bolle Parole ( http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Bolle_Competivision_Parole_Sunglasses/descpageBUSH-BCV.html ) but had problems with the nose piece and they scratch a little too easily.

The reason I got the Parole type is because they have the frame where the back goes down behind the ear. For some reason when I wear the sunglasses where the frame goes straight back they just don't stay down on my nose when I wear a hat (like the lenses aren't heavy enough to stay on my noes).

I tried this pair of Tifosi sunglasses ( http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Tifosi_Pave_Gunmetal_Sunglasses/descpageTIFOSI-TPG.html ) but they just don't stay down on my nose when I'm wearing my hat.

And after having basal cell carcinoma on my nose and going through Mohs surgery, I always wear a hat.

Thanks for any and all help.

Hey TripleB,

I did my MA in dermatology and I know the scare of having BCC, hope everything goes well.

Back to topic, I will like to recommend you the Nike Ignite. They fit like goggles and you dont have movement and very comfy in the nose (do not leave them in the heat of the car eh!:)) I see in the internet are in the $90's, but if you find an Nike outlet they sell them for $50.00.

Since I dont like play with hat I put a bandana and the sunglasses and no sunlight come from the top of your eyes, your vision is completely shadow it.

Best of luck

Yo UA! :)

3B, I simply love my Tifosi Roubaix. I bought them in my local bike shop but the version with GT lenses (golf + tennis). They have super comfy fit, just right pressure and they don't slide and move. However, they are recommended for large to x large heads :) I concur! My head indeed is kind of huge :)

I wear Oakley Radars and they are great. They are light weight and comfortable. They stay secure on my face and are really clear. They are a bit pricey though.

i personally dont like lenses that change the colors of things
so i used to use Hobie polarized grey lenses

ive switched to oakley "square" polarized and they wraap around well so the sun doesnt peak in from the side easily
the lens is black iridium polarized
they are less aexpensive than many "sport " model frames from oakley
list $140 i think i found mine for $99:)(got 2)

I found some cycling sunglasses I really like by ryders. They make good shades that stay on your face as well. they are also very flexible and light.

Another smart move by 2P! :) Cycling glasses are great choice for tennis because they make them differently and more seriously than you typical 'tennis-glasses'.

Rudy Project also makes some very nice sunglasses that you could use for tennis. They are the only people that I've gotten a polarized lens from that it didn't make me nauseous. Nice, light and stay in place well when you get the right fit for your head/face.

I also use Oakley Jawbones - fantastic coverage, great lenses, etc. Too bad they look so ridiculous...
