Semi-Pro
Okay, I'm a 14 year old semi-serve and volleyer who has played for 3 years now. When I stay back at the baseline, I usually hit with a western forehand for enhanced topspin, and a flat backhand. My coach and other people have rated me anywhere from a 3.5 to a 4.0. Everyone tells me to play tournaments (I don't), but because of debate, I have debate tournaments every weekend. I have 30 minutes of tennis class each day. I have used Kirschbaum Super Smash 16 at 55 lbs in my Microgel Radical for about a month, and I've noticed CONSIDERABLE tension loss. Enough for my friends to tell me that my strings move way too much. I was looking for a cheap, but good poly/synthetic gut hybrid that could accomodate my needs. Then I see Tecnifibre Polyspin. It looks good based on its reviews, but Nick Bond's review worries me; he dislikes it. So the hybrids I was considering were:
Mains: Tecnifibre Polyspin 16L - 55 lbs
Crosses: Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex or Original (I'm not a huge fan of these strings, but I don't know of any other "economical" synthetic guts) 16/17 - 58 lbs
OR
Mains: Wilson Enduro Mono 16L - 55 lbs
Crosses: Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex or Original (I'm not a huge fan of these strings, but I don't know of any other "economical" synthetic guts) 16/17 - 58 lbs
