Let's say you have string A with stiffness 2X and string B with stiffness x.
If switching from String A at a lower tension to string B at a higher tension is there a formula or rule of thumb that allows one to achieve a string bed stiffness with string B at the higher tension similar to that of A at the lower tension?
Don't worry too much about the 2x : x relationship. I'm just curious about the level of precision possible when testing different strings and trying to get something similar to another setup with respect to SB stiffness. Currently I just do this based on experience and trial-and-error.
