Tension Bump for BHBR?

For anyone who has moved from one poly to Big Hitter Blue Rough, did you have to bump up the tension? If so, how many pounds?

The reason I ask is because when I tried this string with Gosen crosses I strung it at 54/56. Same tension as I had the hybrids in the other racquets strung (BHSR, Cyclone, TurboTwist).

The ball just flew with the BHBR and it felt extremely soft. I'm thinking the 54 pounds (on the TW machine) was just too loose for the softness and power of this string. I think I'm going to try it one more time and am trying to decide what tension to use.

BTW: I'm getting ready to try BHSR/Gosen at a bit higher tension (56/59) than I did last time (54/56) in order to try and tame the power a bit and get a somewhat more crisp feel.

Thanks for any input.

Well, bhbr in a hybrid you might want to raise the tension 2 pounds or so, but raising it in a full bed kind of takes away it's best quality, which is helping to produce a really heavy ball. It's a soft, springy poly that's really spinny. Take it or leave it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback...I decided to bump it up from 54/56 with Gosen cross to 58/60 with Gosen cross.

I also bumped up my BHSR from 54/56 to 56/58.
