Tgt 260.4 vs youtek ig radical pro?

Has anyone compared these rackets. The only pro stock I have tried is the pt57, since you can't really get a recent retail model.

From my understanding, typically you get the prostocks since they are more flexible and customizable?

-radical ig pro, it is already really flexible (and supposedly feels more flexible according to tenniswarehouse review)
-Retail ig radical pro is also ~323g, so has some room for mods.

Am I missing anything?

TGT260.4 IS the IG Radical Pro (TGK260.4 retail version). Identical mold, layup and manufacturing location. The only difference is no commercial weights in the TGT version.

Adding silicone in the handle instead of commercial weights does dampen the vibrations and mutes the feel a bit so it may feel “softer”.
In most cases the TGT version of a frame is exactly that - the pro stock version of the retail that does not have the commercial weights of the retail. A few examples where this does not apply: TGT231.3 - this is the 16x19 version of the MG Radical MP however, the layup is the TGT231.2 which is stiffer than the retail MGRMP (231.1); TGT260.2 and 260.5 - 16x19 versions of the YT Radical MP/IG Radical MP that never existed as retail frames, etc.

I believe the sw on the retail ig rad pro was 330. I have a pair of tgt 260.4 and it didnt swing nearly as heavy even with a ton of lead at 12 and silicone. After removing the lead and silicone, The static weight wasnt that much lighter esp with the head calfskin grip, but i dont have any numbers available because they're currently in hairpin form. I'll have to assemble one of these days and play around with lead

I have 5 TGT260.3 (IG Radical MP) and have added about 5g of lead at 12 to get them to 335 SW I desire, which is in-line with the retail IG Radical MP. I also added about 25g of silicone/lead in the handle to get it to my HL and desired weight spec of 335g strung with OG.

Isn't 260.4 a IG Radical MP with 16x19 string pattern? I always thought that 260.5 is IG Radical Pro pro stock. I have 3 of them and they feel like IG Radical Pro. I also have TGT260.3 and they feel different.

Hmm that is a good question. I saw on some thread
260.1 - youtek mp
.2- youtek pro
.3- ytig mp
.4- yt ig pro
.5 yt ig mp16x19

Not 100% sure.

what grommets do your 260.5 have? i have a pair of 260.4s and they take the IG radical pro gormmets

Had a hit yesterday, again, with a tgt260.5 and what a nice frame!
I must admit that I do prefer 260.2 over 260.5, but they share the same mold and the same lavel of power/precision/spin.
That is surprising to me - especially that I prefered IG Radical MP/Pro over YouTek Radical MP.

ig radical have a small headsize than the 360+ radicals right? because of how they calculated from the outside of the head rather than inside...correct?

does the same go for the prestiges?

Yes, all IG radicals use the TK260 mold which is a 95 sq in.
The 360+ radicals (TK351 and TK352) are 98s

Wanted to confirm this? The IG radicals are 95 sqin?

TW says 98 sq in or 632 sq cm

To follow up on Evobacsi's statement I thought the whole 95/98 sq inch issue was a rounding issue when converting between sqcm and sqin, notably for the PT57's?

Head used to measure head size in a different way from other manufactures. All Radical MP’s from Titanium through Intelligence, Liquidmetal, FlexPoint, Microgel, YouTek and IG were 95”.

I wasn't aware that the dofferent form of measurement it carried all the way to IG radicals.
Same grommets will “fit” the PT57A, IG Radical MP (18x20)/Pro (16x19), YT Radical MP, MG Prestige MP (18x20)/Pro (16x19), MG Radical MP, IG Prestige MP/Pro, Graphene/XT/Touch Prestige MP, FXP Radical MP, Ti Radical MP, iRadical MP, iPrestige MP…

Good to know. Always was hesitant to make a permanent switch to 95 sq in, for "lack of power/topspin blah blah" but have been playing w. One for the last 10 years . It's all mind games.
