The Last Time Novak Received a Walkover in a Major, He Lost the Most Important Match of his Life

2011 French Open QF - Novak was scheduled to play Fognini

Next match loses to Federer, who would go on to lose to Nadal in the 2011 FO final. Ending the 43 match win streak that dated back to Davis Cup 2010. Nole was 2-0 against Rafa on clay in 2011 (Rome and Madrid). Nole could have won his first FO 5 years prior to his triumph against Andy. Maybe he would have gotten 2012, 2013, 2014, or 2015 too?

Will the mighty Nole persist? Or, will he stumble again?

For the record, I seriously doubt Guido Pella or Youzhny challenging him. I think he will lose in the QF or SF. Wrist does not look good. Poor variation on the 2HBH, slower avg speed, lower avg RPM's

Wimbledon 2014 was the match of his career so far.
Crossover.

It's true that Novak doesn't like w/o as he loves the rhytm, but consider his recent health status it could be good for him, has more time to rest and heal shoulder and wrist.

And yeah, rage already begun I see

I think this might actually be good for him. Will give him time to rest and heal his injuries. On the flip side he might get his rhythm too late in the tournament, or not at all.

Most wrist injuries are acute (not chronic), so I doubt he can play better the longer he's on court. I think it's going to depend on who he plays. If someone finds his BH enough and exploits his clear lack of confidence, he won't win this title
