Looks like the Laver Cup is going ahead. Dates confirmed as 22-24 September this year in Prague, Czech Republic - the home of Big Berd and The Worm.

I have an issue with the way the teams are structured. They are planning to pit "Europe" vs. "Rest Of World"

Current teams (if formed today based on rankings):

EUROPE: Murray, Djokovic, Wawrinka, Cilic, Captain's Pick, Captain's Pick - Captain = Borg
ROW: Raonic, Nishikori, Kyrgios, Isner, Captain's Pick, Captain's Pick, Captain = McEnroe

For Europe's 2 Captain's Picks - I'm assuming they'll pick Federer and Nadal - would this not make it a horribly one-sided affair, even for an exhibition?

How would you structure the teams?:)

Btw,I doubt that Djokovic will play this exo.

Me personally?
I would try and randomise it, because it is otherwise clear that pretty much all the best players are in Europe (with the exception of Raonic)
Team 1: Murray, Raonic, Wawrinka, Cilic, Kyrgios
Team 2: Djokovic, Nadal, Fed, etc.

And yeah - Novak and Andy have not confirmed participation yet, so it will depend on their performances through the year, whether they can accommodate in their schedules and whether it will be worth it. I think they'll play because it is a one-off event (not like failing IPTL exho) that honours Rod Laver

I don't know about Andy, but I'm pretty positive that Novak won't play. He just want to be at home more these days. He even flew to MC after Doha instead of Melbourne.
Anyway I'm looking forward to this event, it may be interesting:)

Anyone think they'll seize the opportunity to create a different dynamic in the game? If they're quick on their feet, they could couch this as a chance for rising players to grow their brands. Have there ever been qualies for an exo?
