The Perfect Tennis Player - Female Version

I'm going to give a shout for Mauresmo for volleying. Absolutely classical technique and given how difficult it can be in the modern game she deserves a mention. Also, because IMO she was better than any man of her era! Not many women can say that.

I like your list.
I'd make few changes, but wd at least share BH volley with BJK.
I'd add Mary Pierce to the tweener list.
Evert to drop shot list.
Cljisters to foot speed.
I'd also add this category:
BH smash: Bueno and Goolagong-Cawley.

Graf's forehand for sure. And maybe her slice.

Forehand not necessarily, at least not as a shot itself. There were other girls who's stroke was just as great, only not supported with superior movement like Graf's. Thanks to her supreme footwork and foot speed her forehand was as deadly as it was from almost everywhere on court. The others were not able to position themselves for the shot like that all the time, but when they did the forehands were on a par with Graf's.

Her slice definitely. Maybe Goolagong could hit a more perfect back-spin but Steffi's was more consistently dangerous on that shot, I would choose hers if I had to play a match for my life.

Yeah and take that female player and put her against Lukas Lacko and she's still lose 6-0 6-0 6-0.

Even if that was true, what's the point of that comment here? The tread is not about how "she" would stand against male professional players.

They should have the following characteristics:

- Refrain from hitting the ball as hard as possible down the middle of the court
- Do away with double faults
- Not crack under the first sign of pressure
- Learn to volley
- Learn to slice
- Learn tactics

These characteristics don’t exist on the WTA

An example for each of the things you wrote, in most of these cases they are better than most men at those things.

Graf Williams.

A magnificent, formidable combination to be sure. I doubt any other combination, save for GOAT-level Court, mixed with King and Venus would be able to handle such a player.

i honestly feel serena, clijsters azarenka are in my top 5. Also dementieva. I wouldn't really know how evert or seles would do against the top servers of the past 10-15 years

Evert woud crumble. Even as stronger servers came into the game while she was playing, she was not exactly Connors or Agassi with her returns. You either adjust, in the way McEnroe did once players like Lendl and (eventually) Becker emerged, or you do not.

Seles is a slightly different matter, as she was in the mix of stronger servers, so her period of adjustment--along with her natural skill with the return--would keep her competitive.

barely anyone ever aces serena. She pretty much gets a racket on nearly everything.

Serena having one the best returns of serve in tennis history has been an oft-stated fact for 20 years, so yes, if you were to take any players RoS talent, it would be Serena, as she has won an incalculable number of points on that return. Its almost as legendary as her serve.
