DATE: Saturday & Sunday, April 8-9, 2006
TIME: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
LOCATION: South of the Santa Monica Pier, between lifeguard stations 17 & 18, directly across from "Shutters on the Beach" Resort (1 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405
Saturday, April 8
We will be holding “open play” for the public all day, beginning at 11 a.m. There is no fee so here’s your chance to try beach tennis for free. Racquets and balls will be provided courtesy of Head and Penn, respectively, but tennis players are more than welcome to bring their own racquets.
Registration will be accepted on-site for Sunday's tournament or you can fill out the form below and register online. There is no registration fee.
Sunday, April 9
Open play starts at 11 a.m.
Tournament play begins at 1 pm.
There will be four divisions of tournament play:
Adult Amateur Women (NTRP 2.0 - 4.0)
Adult Amateur Men (NTRP 2.0 - 4.0)
Adult Pro Women (NTRP 4.5+)
Adult Pro Men (NTRP 4.5+)
The two Pro Divisions will compete for a total purse of $3,600 *
We may also hold a tournament for Juniors, depending upon the number of people who sign up.
* based on a minimum 8-team draw in both the Men's and Women's categories.
