Thoughts on app for stringers

My brother is a senior at Union College Schenectady. He is majoring in computer engineering and is currently working on completing his senior project. Since I do quite a bit of stringing for some local colleges and am required to log every detail of every strung racket in order to get paid we came to the idea of making an app that can make this trivial. Using the NFC (Near field Communication) technology that comes with many smart phones currently on the market logging a racket can be easy as touching my phone to the butt cap of the racket which will have the almost weightless sticker inside. The app will eventually have more options but this video shows the basics of the technology and process so to any stringers who might be interested in using the app or anyone who has thoughts or opinions lets hear it!

I've thought of that to use on my own program, and am fact still thinking about the possibilities.

for myself and what I do, I've really only come to think that it's good for identification, Identification number to enter into my database.

The other aspect of it, is that I don't want to spend money or the time, reading and writing NFC.

Cool idea though.
Oh the other thing though, is that stringing isn't a real mobile activity, and if you use a computer with a NFC reader attached, it would probably be a lot easier.
