Equal is probably not a good symbol to use as a comparison, but I do see some unique similarity in the two players.

I'd say the style of the two is comparable.

When I watched his Nadal match I was amazed at his movement because it looked like he had FOREVER to prepare for each ground stroke. Pretty effortless as well.

Watching him was refreshing. I hope he continues his development.

My friend who was trained at the same club as Tomic in their junior's time, told me that Tomic used to be trained to play tennis while only standing on one foot.

Yeah that was the impression. But it was quite uncanny. Maybe it's more about how he positions himself and how he's able to read well his opponents than the way he moves himself.

Was returning incredibly well too, again probably because of the way he was positioning himself on serves. His tempo is the strangest I've ever seen. Very unpredictable which makes him very interesting to watch.

Mecir was really fast. People forget that due to his odd looking strokes but the fact is the guy had unbelievable footwork and seemed to be everywhere at once. I dont think Tomic is in the same class in this regard. Also, Mecir has a son that looks and plays just like him.
