Two hand backhand grip, eastern+continental?

Does anyone use an eastern forehand grip for the dominant hand (bottom of the racquet), and a continental grip ontop? I use this grip because i hit an eastern grip forehand, so when i go to backhand, I just have to put the second hand on, I dont need to change the primary hand. Is there a fault to this grip combo?

Thats awkward. I always thought eastern forehand was between continental and semi-western. For your backhand, if you are using eastern, it should be turned the other way.

Eastern forehand grip and eastern backhand grips are different...They aren't the same; you should be switching.

As for continential for the other hand, it is fine I guess. I actually prefer semi-western mainly because it closes the racquet easier for me. This usually results in more topspin production.

Yea i know about eastern backhand, i just never used it. It seems ackward to place your hand like that. My eastern forehand is between continental and sw, and i just leave it on for all groundstrokes.

@_@, Doesn't it feel awkward with your wrist like that? I really recommend using eastern backhand or continential grips for that backhand side. But I guess whatever works. I think it would feel really awkward when hitting low balls or really high balls. Not only that I think it is hard to follow through properly.

Switching to eastern backhand or contiential grips will help teach you to learn how to prepare faster.

Whats an easy way to find eastern backhand?

An Eastern backhand is very similar to the Western grip, only you hit the ball with the other side of the racquet.

I also use an Eastern forehand grip on my non-dominant hand for my 2HBH, but I also have my dominant hand in an Eastern forehand grip. Like you, I use an Eastern forehand, so I find it very easy to use the same grip on my 2HBH. Sometimes I can have trouble with high shots, but I try to time them so I can take them on the rise. Also, you usually have to close up your stance, which takes a little bit more time than, for example, a SW grip on the non-dominant hand.

EDIT
Sorry, I misread your original post. So, a lot of my post is not useful for this situation. Again, sorry about that.
