Two pieces string question

Hi-
I use two pieces string method and I always broke the main string. Should I cut the cross as well and restring it, or should I leave it and just restring the main?
Another stringing question: is there any good way to tighten up the finish knots? My main strings on two sides are awefully loose :?

Thanks.

For Crying out Loud, cut out all the strings!!! DO NOT TRY TO BE CHEAP and save the crosses. There is a post lower down about this. It will ruin your racquet and it will produce a trash string job.

Some people string the last strings (the ones that you knot with) a couple of pounds higher than the rest. USRSA doesn't reccommend you do it, so it is your call.

First of all, it would not be possible to cut out the mains and restring...The crosses are anchored to the mains (at least the starting knot is) It is possible if you break the crosses, to cut them out and restring only the crosses, but again, its not recommended, especially if you have a cheaper string in there.

yep, cut em all out.

Note that is it best to cut from the center and work your way outwards in symmetrical fashion(To lessen the uneven stress)
