Two strings for racquet

I've been using two strings for my racquet and wondering if you guys use one string or two to string yours.. And what seems to take more prevalence?

I'm kind of wondering i should switch too one string as I think i'm losing tension doing two strings.. since there is 4 knots compare to two.. and i seem to lose tension the final two knots since i put it in wrong grommet ...

Or do some racquets can't do two string method which is why i might not have any openings?

it seems like alot of the manufacturers recommend 2 piece stringing. i've strung some old donnays with 1 piece but i didn't feel good about it. they had really dense patterns and i was concerned about the string pulling the grommets through the frame. that may be silly but i have an active imagination.

i must admit, i strung those one piece because i didn't know any other way to do it and it was pretty natural. if you are going to use 1 piece stringing, then make sure you measure off your string and plan out switching from the mains to the crosses or profanity will likely ensue.

be careful! have fun!
