US Open Men's Bracket Pool 2020

I’m in! I already had a user so I could not test out the Melania address. I don’t think it asked for a street address. And I have a bone of contention. Tennis channel being as incompetent as usual still has Paire in the draw. Granollers is in for him and I have him winning a couple matches as “Paire”.

For the record I have to Tsitsipas beating Thiem in the final. Being a loyal fan of Serbia I have Krajinović beating Djokovic.:p I also have Sinner and Barantini going surprisingly deep which surprised me.

Calling on the OP here to find a better bracket site; this won’t go very far with only US participants. Or could you just pick some random US address like the White House?
I thought this site was what we used last time we did the pools??

Maybe the methodology of creating entries has changed?

I think raining aces needs to try harder. I did a bracket at the French Open and then never checked what happened. Hopefully we have some kind of blow-by-blow scoring or some thing. We can do this for many more slams. Pro match results is really really dead these days. I’m amazed at the that my U.S. Open thread is getting little action and I don’t even know that there’s a women’s US open thread. Baby steps.

Hmmm I was able to fill out my bracket with no address and I'm Canadian. But my account is years old.

You can edit it up until the time listed in OP, I believe. I've already edited due to Paire being out.

I wonder if some of the contestants are using their real names instead of their TTW usernames. Might be easier for me to keep track of who’s in the lead if I could see TTW usernames instead.

You should probably format this a little better because it's hard for me to keep track. Probably split by round?

Well a few people hav Hurkacz beating Scwartzman, bot no one picked Norrie. Thought about it.

Schwartzman has been a pretty reliable early pick for me in the recent past. I have Dimitrov and Isner going out early because they have burned me too many times. And I'm not sure we will see USner without an American crowd.

edit: Same with FAA. He's a bit of a choker and Murray is still rock solid mentally at least.

FAA’s slam stamina is quite dubious. He hits hard in best of three to shorten matches. Fun section nonetheless. I’ve got Sinner making it to Thiem.

And you nailed it on Isner. Infact that might have been Johnson’s 6th straight against Isner. He’d been winning breakers to amass that streak, but Isner took the first two today. Luckily Johnson (who often overhits under pressure) played a nice final breaker. I’m sure quite a few had Isner playing to his seed so well done.:p

lol I still had him going too far. But I almost picked Berankis over him.

Had no idea Johnson owns him so badly. Must train with him a lot.

I picked Opelka and Lajovic correctly. I actually did pretty well, day 1, all things considered. Definitely got screwed a bit by Isner.

4 matches coming in and 5 straight breakers. When I played Power Play League I would have caught that.:cautious:

Holy crap, I had Opelka as a quarterfinalist, thought against it yesterday and placed him losing to Goffin. Saved myself big time with that
Do they update standings every day? They certainly aren’t updating as the matches complete.:sneaky:

Meles

Sometimes they update during the day, sometimes it takes a couple days. It's pretty inconsistent.
