first of all i want to make sure this is the appropiate place to put these thread, if not, please make a correction

so i will be attending the event, first time im going to a pro tournament and the goal is to watch federer, so we know that there is always the chance that if he were to go all the way in IW and he played a lot more than expected en route to a final there, he might decide to pull the plug on miami and choose to rest.

leaving that out, im assuming that he would play his first match probably on the first saturday just like he is on IW, maybe he might ask to move to a sunday to have more rest who knows, so getting tickets for the appropiate session is tricky here.

what i intend to is to at least catch one of his practices, whats your advice on this? does the tournament publish a prectice schedule of the players? how does one knoe where and when will he practice or any player for that matter? does he practice the days in beetween matches?(im assuming yes but just to confirm).

every year on the first days of the tournament there is alway a video popping up of him or nadal practicing on center court so i guess before the tournament starts you can catch him there but then again, how does one know about those things?

one last thing is his practice sessions have been getting cut in time aswell, so i guess i should expect to only attend a 30-60 minute practice right?

thank you in advance to anyone who has something to contribute, never been able to watch him live and miami is actually the closest place i have to actually watch him live so im not missing this opportunity

I have been in Miami a couple of times for the event, including watching Federer's run last year to the title. You should be able to some sort of schedule when you get there, but just so you know, it will be subject to change. Federer normally plays every day there on the practice courts, so you are bound to catch a glimpse of him. You can even get practice schedules the evening before, if you go later into the tournament, sometimes the players can abruptly change their times as there are less players around, so they can be more flexible. Once I walking around, Federer was not meant to practicing until late afternoon, but decided he wanted to come out early to hit a few serves and work on his drop shots.
