Hi,

I bought a used Volkl Tour 10 V-Engine from the liquidation on tennis warehouse a while ago. I loved the feel of the string but now the string is broken and I am wondering what type of string it was or at what tension it was strung.

If any of you play with Volkl Tour 10 V-Engine can you please tell me what is the best tension for a soft feel.

THANKS:)

head rip control, tecnifibre multifeel, and tecnifibre TRC are soft strings that i have used in the T10 V 93. they are low powered strings and 55 lbs is the highest i would string them.

welcome to the cushy racquet club. :)

Hi,

I did not know any better and strung mine with Gamma TNT at 58. It does not play really well and I am thinking to switch. Thanks for advice.

Sometimes even after a long time it is still possible to make out the brand, string type and gauge stamped on the string.

I have used full poly at 60 and I've used multi's as low as 52. It all depends on what you are looking for as far as feel, power and spin.

Keep the tension low or the string bed has a strange feel against the flexy throat.

I cannot imagine RIP Control in the the VE Mid. It would take a HUGE swing to get the ball to the service line, but it would feel and sound great.

I think I'm going to trade my VE Mid.

BTW - i've used those soft strings suggested earlier in the mains and syn gut in the crosses. i like the JC stringing method which when at 55 lbs puts the mains at 53 and crosses at 57 lbs.

richie65 - what u thinking may be your next racquet?
