How do you think their matches would go on the surfaces (and slams specifically) prime to prime?
Not asking who is greater since that is quite obvious but speculating how they would have fared against each other. Their H2H is 3-2 in favor of JMDP.
Slower HC like AO: Wawrinka has the edge.
Faster HCs: Even I'd say. Delpotro clearly has a bigger FH but a weak BH and Wawrinka can actually hit off both wings when he is on. Their serve can be deadly when on.
Grass: JMDP has the edge (although Wawrinka did beat him at Wimbledon once IIRC). He pushed prime Djokovic and Federer to the limits on the surface.
Clay: Wawrinka has a clear edge. Self explanatory due to the RG win.
