Well, This Has All Been One Big Tease!

TTW updates the forum and introduces a Like reaction feature, gives us about a couple weeks to get used to it, then just pulls the rug out from under us?!

@TW Staff should at least clarify the moderation problems it caused because it doesn’t make sense without context.

Also should let us know if they’re permanently gone or it’s being tweaked.

We are not owed anything but an explanation would be the courteous thing to do.

100% agreed. At the very least, they could at least bring back the like button and just scrap the reactions.

Agreed, or add new forum rules based on the reactions for whatever problems they are apparently causing. Make it infractable and I’d imagine people would stop quickly.
I keep seeing your posts and hitting quote ha. But yes, I do think they are just tweaking. Hard to think they would add all these features and then go the opposite direction a week later.

Also, don't see how it could be a problem? It is a courteous way of communicating efficiently.

@Robert Baratheon told me it might be people “reacting” inappropriately to poasts. But idk. I’d say people are just way too sensitive at that point. I always take even the mad reacts as joking mad.

Wouldn’t be against just going back to the old system.

As a newbie, I thought I couldn't use that feature yet. Hopefully they will reinstate it, as I like being able to react to a post without having to actually create another post to do it.

If you set your tablet, phone or computer "night mode", the Like button will show up again since it's all in white.

Joking aside, it could be just a configuration issue or update issue. I saw a XenForo forums where an administrator has mis-configured some permissions causing the Like button to disappear. I'm hoping this is the cause not because it's being removed intentionally.

This reminds me of the time when Netflix removed the community star rating system and replaced it with thumbs-up/down that is only applicable to your own preference.

Can the two of you please get a room? You can still emoji in private conversations.
Not unless there is a like feature. (y) this simply does not give me that same... how should I put it...

In these challenging times, I implore the bereaved to mellow out to the dulcet stylings of Mr. Don McLean.

As you sing along, just substitute "Like" for "Pie." (y)

Please please, bring the “like” button back. It is seriously useful to me. It lets you show appreciation, or delight, or vigorous agreement, or sympathy and understanding, even more, without necessarily commenting constantly. I feel bereft without it!
