@MichaelNadal

Alright, so talk about the Wendawg's binge.

That Try Guys dude is hilarious, btw. :D

Keith is hilarious!
Yeah I was going to go nuts on Wendys tonight. I was literally about to pull up wendys.com and plan my meal for when I leave work and a guest just brought me BBQ ribs and collard greens from the BBQ place across the street lol. (when we were talking about the McRib of course) God is hilarious.
Even tho I have ribs, im probably still gonna go get a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger and Spicy Nuggets, maybe a potato too :D

I have never heard of paneer kheer! This is new. I will check it out. Chikki is making me much much excite too :D
If you search for "recipe sooji kheer" the lady also offers recipes of paneer kheer which is actually easier since you don't even have to roast the semolina. There's also an almond kheer which requires some grinding.

Got the jaggery yesterday. Now have to dehydrate the soaked peanuts, so the homemade chikki will probably be scheduled for tomorrow. I have a friend whose wife makes chikki all the year round but they live in Greater Noida and I have not been able to visit them for about three years or so.

macroni payasam but this semiya stuff is out of the world yummy :D
I can't wait for diwali yayyyy - mum and I are making bucket loads of ribbon pakoda

macaroni payasam LOL is an invention of the macaroni guys (MTR in this case).

I must try to make semiya payasam. yes, i remember having that long back somewhere.

okay, so that is called ribbon pakoda/murukku. I love murukku and sometime get it in Haldiram packets. But it is rarely available.

Maybe that could be cooking adventure for next month. My mum loves murukku although she needs it soft since she's lost a lot of teeth.

Was inspired by you

sorry for i have sinnned, next time i shall consume the vegetables and cheese, “paneer”, with rice, which some would call a “biryani”
Coincidentally, when you poasted this I had just glanced at an article about the famous hyderabadi biryani. The chap was saying that the cheaper stuff is often just pulao passed off as biryani. I think biryani is slow cooked for a day or two.

I've often had a "veg biryani" on the train or maybe some eatery in the South. That would be around 2000-2005. They often have a Veg Korma (LOL) also.

@Azure that could be the Seshadri Ashram Cafe in Tiruvannamalai (another life, sniff)

I don't know what a Veg Korma (LOL) is, but i shall have to try it some time

i do not think the biryani i had would've been cooked for a day or two, that might even break some local health codes (LOL) [though im sure its worth it for the added sabooshian flavour]

Wendys still have the baked potato with bacon & cheese?

They are like $3.69. Can get a 4for4 or a baconator at that price

The sour cream and chives is $1.69, double sour and butter packets and fine

Is it like peanut brittle? Stick to/between your teeth? Lost a cap, popped out in the brittle.
Yeah it's an amazingly crunchy stuff and utterly delicious. It requires passion to search it on the internet, buy peanuts and actually make this stuff. I just buy it off the shelf in the stores! Lazy bum that I am!

Was playing a match indoors and, on the next court the ladies had a sack, poly bag, of some sort of homemade dark chocolate/peanut brittle. They offered a sample to us and I was the only one to partake.
Best tennis dessert ever.

Went out with some girls tonight from work and had this tuna bowl. Later some brownie with icecream and this African tea which was very nice.

You really put in the effort Senti. I doff my hat to you my friend (y)(y)

Did you enjoy it? Was your mum able to eat this?
Yes, mum was able to eat it.
I put in the effort because I only get it here in winter months. For eight months we don't get it, and I'd like to have it throughout the year. I'd also like to make it with almonds. I found something online which had almond chikki but it had kesar in it which i don't like, and rose flavour/essence which I absolutely detest.

Is it like peanut brittle? Stick to/between your teeth? Lost a cap, popped out in the brittle.
Nope, it does not stick between the teeth. That can happen if you do not cook the jaggery till the "string stage". It breaks quite easily.

The image I poasted was after I uploaded onto imgur and sadly it is very dark and low resolution.

Do you think I should try putting Hershey's Cocoa powder in the jaggery???? :D

Wondering if I should try making those chocolate almond things myself. Lemme see if i can find a recipe for them.

Do these things have names ?
There is mention of "peanut log roll" and some recipes although I don't know if all that stuff is available here. Like marshmallows.

What is the second thing. Pls try to recall a name.
