What is a fair price on the used market for a Head PT 630 in good condition?

Just wondering what the going rate is these days for the austrian made Head PT 630, assuming it is in very good to excellent condition? How about for the variou other variants of this frame like the Austrian PT 280 and the Chinese PT 280? I liked the LM Prestige MP ( which can be had on the cheap these days) that I tried recently and am trying to determine if it would be worth it to track down the much rarer 630.

ever hit wtih a pt280 before?
its not the same frame as a LM prestige MP, IMO its closer to the midsize LM prestige. its mroe flexible and mroe demanding than the LM prest mid+

i would suggest buying one for cheap or finding someone with one and trying it first... you might like it, u might not, but def try it first.

gotta disagree with you on this one. the 280/630 plays stiffer than the LM prestige MP. it is demanding in that it is a heavy racquet but you can get used to it pretty easily.

does the pt 630 swing heavier than the LM Prestige MP? How about the PT 280? Also, are you saying around 100$ or more like 150$?

It really depends on the fancy of the bidders, I"ve seen it as high as 140+, but usually in the 120-130 range, not including shipping.

My PT280 with CAPS and a leather grip swings lighter than my Prestige Classics, but heavier than an i.Prestige.

ok...put it this way....how much is TOO much for one of these things? (i.e. what would be the top end of "reasonable")

On the auction on E-bay right now, per racquet they're selling for more than they were worth new, I would consider that unreasonable. Especially considering you can get a PT280 for a third of that price if you look hard enough.

I got a PT280 mid for $40 bucks last week. It was the chinese version and essentially brand new. The guy who I got it from said he played with it a couple of times as a beginner and then after that stored it in his closet for 3 years. There's not a single stratch on the thing anywhere! I was shocked when I saw it! I really lucked out! I think a good price for a PT280 would be around 100 bucks depending on its condition and where its made. I would expect the Austrian version to be more expensive because people think its better and it's probably rare. Do a search in the Classified section of talk tennis though. THere's a couple of PT280 listed in there. I know there's an OS and MP listed. I have my eye on them, but I have no damm money.:(

I have 6 Chinese PT280s and have figured out my highly subjective favorite 4. Send me an email if you want to buy one or two. Very good to excllent condition.

The PT820 has more power than the LM Prestige MP. Feels more like the LMP Mid, but with better spin and a little less swingweight. Very comfortable due to the Twaron (Kevlar) mixed in with the graphite fibers, unlike either Prestige.

I thought one of the shells of the Twintube was an aramide material similar to kevlar/twaron?
