What is ONE thing about your favorite player that you genuinely don’t like?

For not taking Lendl as another coach. Him and Vajda would made Novak a monster.

Come to the net more often, be more aggressive with your groundstrokes, take advantage of your elite shot making ability more often and don't always feel the need to construct points.

Fed: BP conversion and also I don't like headbands. That's the only thing I can remotely think of.

What’s wrong with headbands?

btw, Fed absolutely rocks them

Was that ever on the cards?
Lendl was sending signals (if you can say something like that for Lendl), he said that Novak can upgrade himself in almost, or in every department. Further more, he knew what was needed for Murray to beat Novak because he has read Novak completely. Murray became almost specialized for Djokovic game, totally different player under Lendl.
Yet Novak has chosen Agassi and Pepe.
I understand the fact that Lendl worked with Murray could be biggest stumbling block for their cooperation, bcs it is somehow wrong to take former coach of your rival.

Did that happen before or after coaching Murray?

The butt picking used to annoy me, I'd still get rid of it if I could tbh. I hate it when he gives the same "I have to play my best otherwise I will have no chance" answer, especially because he sometimes gives an interview in which he is totally honest (in Spanish) and often has very insightfull things to say.

Fed's overuse of the phrase "to be honest."

Especially when he's not even making a critical point or being particularly controversial in any way, shape, or form.

Fed: "Well, I prefer grass court tennis to clay court tennis, to be honest." Yes Fed, we know you're being honest about that!

He spends too much time on social media and message boards tbh

All too often, the various fan bases unite around their guy and go to war with others, trashing Their guys.

In the process, some tend to treat their favorite player like a god and never utter a critical remark.

Let’s set that aside and be honest. Can you think of ONE thing about your favorite player that you don’t like?

Possible examples:
Fed’s man bun from early years
Nadal’s predictability in interviews
Nole’s Pepe BS
Nadal has nothing left to achieve in the game so can appear smug at times.

It’s funny, the number of people that came here to talk about what annoys them about players they don’t like. I don’t know if it should be regarded as a proof of loyalty or obsession.

I like your name. Plan on becoming a Zedhead in future years?
Haha! Thanks :) Probably not going to be adding Zedhead to my name, though, unless he stops with the tummy flashing and chain chewing. And, improves his seemingly narcissistic attitude. (He's young, though. I'll refrain from forming a final opinion for a few years. After all, just like his game, his brain won't be fully developed until he's about 25 or so!)

Rafa's political correctness. All in all I guess all of the top three are very much PC oriented, but Rafa, possibly for the language limitation, is way too much.

I don't like that phrase in general! Comes across as a disclaimer that you're not lying. Shouldn't be necessary, unless you are known to be dishonest by nature.

I think it’s just a figure of speech, to be honest. I don’t think he literally means "I am being honest so believe me".

There is one awful thing about Nadal, and we are not talking about a little thing here. He is fan of Real Madrid, wtf Nadal???
I was thinking of mentioning that one. You think he’d have allegiance to Barcelona since the Mallorcan dialect is closer to Catalan than Castellano, right?

I think his uncle played for Real, right?

The act that Rafa hasn't looked to strengthen his serve, make it more powerful or faster. Some of his biggest losses have been down to him not being unable to get cheap, easy points. It's a literal battle just to hold which of course gives his opponent a psychological boost. Could've have changed racquet or more drastically serve right handed which is his strongest hand. Of course cheaper points, means less time on court, less energy expended, which potentially prevents more injuries, which means participating in more tournaments, which could gain more weeks at #1 or indeed get him a higher seeding at Wimbledon which is the current 'controversy' at the moment.

Lack of a stronger serve has probably cost him at least 3 more slams.

Fed's stubborn nature, he could have won even more had he not tried to beat his opponents at their own game; that ship sailed a long time ago. And goes without saying-breakpoints and matchpoints.

Nadal expressing opinions that are always weirdly aligned with his interests.

His environment may be a bit of an echo chamber in that regard (it seems the Spanish press believes he can do no wrong, in particular), which makes me think he's more delusional than malicious. But it's still jarring.

To name a few gaffes throughout the years: ranking rules, equal prize money, Wimbledon seeding, etc...
