Let's say I want to start playing with a wooden racquet. What sort of balls should I use?

Thank you in advance.

Use regular felt--the extra duty balls these days are so much harder and heavier than the balls in use when wood sticks were the norm. Have fun.

Around 8 months ago, a friend of mine who teaches with wood racket's asked me to trade with him, for a couple of hits. Turned out to be around 20 minutes, and hundreds of groundies.
New DunlopHDHardcourtChamps, his Spaulding red/white hit pretty well, and he hit well with my MGRadOS as well. I guess he should, he's 5-5.5 in level, while I"m 4.0. We switched back for some friendly doubles, playing 2 sets for tiebreakers each, both our partner's 4.0's.
Sounds like a might brag, but my lefty serve and experience in doubles (at his level easily), helps a bit.
I"m 4.0 in singles because I haven't been able to run in 8 years now.
