Which Tension to Go With?

I'm currently using a Yonex RDX-500 MIDPLUS strung with Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power 16L mains @ 61 pounds and Prince Synthetic Gut w/duraflex 16g crosses @ 59 pounds.

I recently pulled my Yonex RQ Ti-700 Longbody out of the closet to get the feel of a lighter racquet in my hands (going to do a TW Playtest with a couple of racquets lighter than I'm used to). I really liked the ease of putting the ball away with the RQ so I'm going to try and adjust the tension in my RDX-500 midplus in order to get some extra mph when putting the ball away.

I'm going from the Luxilon BBALUP 16L/Prince Syn Gut with duraflex set up to either a Luxilon BBALUP 16L/Gosen OG Sheep Micro 16g or a Babolat Pro Hurricane 17g/Gosen OG Sheep Micro 16g set up.

If I'm dropping the tension down from 61/59, what tension would you recommend FOR THE MAINS in order to get that extra mph for putaway without losing all the control?

Thanks for any and all input.

Well for one thing, there's not much of a difference here. For another, fine tuning should be done my yourself to see what work's for you. Sure you'll get some opinions from people that want to chime in on everything (defenseless creature and joe12) but most can't be bothered.

Good points....I think I'll put 58 pounds on one card and 57 pounds on another and have my daughter pick a card at random....that's pretty scientific ;)

It's really up to you. Trust what you feel, you should go to the same stringer and try each 4 of the tension.

I took it by my string this afternoon and believe it or not I happen to go with the tension that nobody voted for :)

I went with Luxilon BBALUP 16L mains at 58 pounds and Gosen OG Sheep Micro 16g crosses at 56 pounds.

Thanks again for the votes (sorry I happened not to go with the votes) and the opinions.

PS: I voted for 58 pounds so the tension I went with would have at least 1 vote :)

u really don't want to go below the "optimum happy place" or else sometimes things might go out of hand. but otherwise i voted 57
