What were the worst matches you have seen the big 3 play?

Nothing can top that but a mention could be made of the 2011 Tokyo final vs Murray. Although it was a 3 setter with Nadal winning the 1st he won only 2 games in the 2nd and a grand total of just 4 points in the decider!!

wow, only 4 points? never knew that, insane

Still the best match I saw Goffin play. Maybe some late 2017 matches rival it.

Federer: Robredo at 2013 US Open, Nishikori at 2018 WTF and Murray at 2012 Olympics
Nadal: Youzhny at 2008 Chennai, Fognini at 2019 MC and Murray at 2011 Tokyo
Djokovic: Santoro 2007 Bercy and Simon 2016 Australian

Didn’t include the ‘19 AO finals for Nadal or the ‘08 French for Fed as neither of them were truly attainable even if they played at a higher level

Fed - Countless matches during 2010-11 when ******** used to show up. I just couldn't deal with reality the so called greatest player can play so bad.

Bird has made sure there were no highlights to be found after the match
A damn shame as well, I had the full match for a couple months afterwards too, though lost it to a Harddrive malfunction (one of many). Though I remember uploading to YouTube, only for it to be immediately taken down lol..

For Fed, it's easily Bruguera 2000 from what I've personally seen, but that's obviously well before he established himself as a top player.

What this has to do with anything?

Anyhow, it is legal to finish the swing over the net, as long as the impact is on your side.

It was such a bad match Novak actually played with his eyes closed., as in the image

Rafa at RG 2015 and at AO 2019 both v Djoker were pretty bad. Although, you don't ahve to be off your game very much for Djoker to make you look ordinary.

How can I also forget RG 2015 quarterfinals against the same opponent.
A parody of the Spaniard appeared that time.
It was a good birthday present that Djokovic gave him that day.
And the Serbian celebrated in advance before due!
:giggle:

In AO that's true, but not in RG. Djokovic can play well on clay, but so far I have never seen a match in RG where he looked totally unbeatable. He was very much beatable in RG 2015, and Wawrinka actually beat him in the final. In AO 2019 Nadal would have probably lost anyway (not that it excuses his terrible performance), but not in RG 2015.

RG 2015 1/4 final was definitely Nadal's worst clay match in 2005-2018. But IMO Monte Carlo 2019 semifinal is even worse.
