When does Tomic The Tank's current NIKE deal expire?

Does anyone know when Tomic's NIKE shoe and apparel deal is due to end? At his current rate of relative non-achievement, surely we can expect NIKE to drop him and move onto the next hot young global prospect? I'm kinda using Monfils as a recent example of this sort of thing happening.

He is the #1 Teenager in the WORLD.

I hope you are not in marketing......

Agreed. No doubt he's talented but he gave up on stadium court U.S. Open. If that doesn't say something about his future.

That doesn't mean anything for his future, it means he's still young and has a lot to learn in big matches & once he puts that together with his talent I see him going really far.

You Can't be Serious:
You can't be serious. It says very little about his future. As novak notes, he's still quite young and developing. Agassi went through periods, both as a teen and when his ranking plummeted around the Brooke Shields era, when his effort clearly wasn't there. He got past it both times.

Brad Gilbert, who helped coach Agassi out of the doldrums gave Tomic some sage advice:

Get a real job!

The Aussies have fallen a long way from where they used to be with the current crap ehh crop. Tomic and Kyrgios are a far cry from Laver & Rosewall or the two Pat's or well hell anyone from Down Under. It's a shame.

It's alright; like the rest of the world we now have a large number people down here that will tell you that Tomic and Kyrgios aren't actually as Australian as the rest of us immigrants from back in the day...

At the moment he is still very visible and in the news, particularly in press conferences. Most of his boneheaded remarks are being made while is wearing either boldly stylised Nike T-Shirts, baseball hats or jackets.

While he has this sort of profile in the tennis media (apparently he gets a lot of attention even in mainstream media in Australia) I can't see Nike dropping him. He suits their saturation marketing approach perfectly.

As soon as he goes from "frustrating / tragic wasted talent" to someone whose press conferences are happening at the challenger / qualifying level Nike will drop the hatchet in an instant.

And let's not forget Hewitt. Tomic the Tanker had a great cache' of great sportsmen making a great example for him to follow and be proud of. What does Tomic do? Boasts about getting paid to tank. Wow...just wow. We all knew you couldn't buy class, but he had to make sure to remind us.

Hewitt had a bit of a bumpy start as far as sportsmanship goes, but at least he matured. Kyrgios and Tomic have shown zero signs of growing up.

What racquet is he using in qualies????

I think one of those 'natural' two handled racquets. It gives him a better chance of recovering from match point while holding the racquet backwards.

But seriously I'll be curious to see, I think the article said he has been injured so it isn't totally certain if he is back.

Tomic has now fallen to #95, he will have to qualify for the Winston-Salem Open

Nope. He's withdrawn from Winston-Salem qualies. He's now pulled out of Atlanta and Washington. And he pulled out as an alternate in Montreal and Cincy. Due to the many withdrawals in Montreal he would've gotten into the main draw had he not withdrawn. So he must be actually injured or is he's just taking time off from the game and will start fresh with a really bad ranking. He has direct entry into the USO as the deadline was 6 weeks prior whilst he was still in the top 100. Wonder if we will see him there.
