Where do I find new swivel clamp bases?

Hello everyone! Out college tennis team has two machines that use fixed swivel clamps. You can remove the entire clamp base by unscrewing a nut form the bottom etc. Anyway, our actual clamps (the teeth) are fine but we need to purchase just new bases of the clamps (the part that actually moves up and down the stringer and that you have to tighten before moving onto the next string while stringing). I have been looking around online but I can only find the clamp teeth for sale and not just the clamp bases. Is there a way to buy new swivel clamp bases instead of having to buy a new machine? Thanks

likely, the clamp bases are adjustable and don't need replacing.

give some more info. type of machine, model etc.

pics too if you can (gotta use photobucket or similar to load them here).

We have a gamma 5003 6 point crank and a gamma 5800 els 6 point electric. The clamps and the bases are easily adjustable and we have lots of spare parts from old clamps and clamp bases (some parts are in rough shape). But the problem we have always had is the clamp bases loosening up over time and not being tight. WE go underneath and tighten the bases from underneath almost everyday, but some of the bases remain loose to the entire base machine even after tightening the nut as must as it can go. I have taken all the camps and bases off the machine and replaced parts, so everything is now workable but everything is old and may be time to just get some nicer clamps just so they don't need constant maintenance.

should be two nuts that will lock together, maybe get some locktite and snug them together.

after that, there should be a micro adjustment on them, look for a set screw at the end where the lever is, away from the post. once you have the nuts secured, use the micro-adjuster to tighten/loosen.

you shouldn't be messing with the nuts underneath, generally.
get them locked up then adjust otherwise.

someone on her has the same clamps and will chime in as I have the "switch action" clamps on my 6004.

You should be able to clean and adjust the clamps and bases if you need parts you can get them from Gamma

I am aware of the micro adjuster on the lever, we have always kept that tight and never touched it while tightening from the bottom. The problem we have I guess is that the bolt underneath the clamp is stripped so the nut cannot tighten all the way. So I have had to put extra washers on there before the nut so it is tight.

Consider e-mailing cad@gammasports, John is a rep on our boards that might be able to get you fixed up. I had the same issue on an older machine, I believe they replaced the bolts with hardened ones so they don't end up stripping. The fix might be ~$20 rather than $200+. If you're bent on replacing the clamp bases, I'd upgrade to switch actions rather than the quick actions.
