Where to put lead tape...?

If I want to make my racquet heavier without changing the balance point very much, where is the best place to put lead tape? I use a racquet that is slightly head light.

try 3 & 9 o' clock, it's the most popular config. and it gives the head a little but more weight. you could try 6 o' clock too, if you dont want a dramatic change in balance & maneuverability (sp?)

12 O'Clock is the best place to increase weight without "monkeying" around with the over all balance.

12 ' O clock will make it swing heavier without really changing the dynamics of the frame.

12 o'clock will change the location of the sweetspot. i think that totally changes racquet dynamics.

.... my experience with lead tape is that you don't want to monkey too much with the basic weighting

.... i think that's why 3 and 9 o'clock are best. just helps a little on off-center hits and adds some swingweight, but no radical change to racquet dynamics

10 and 2 will move the sweetspot. 12 just makes it swing abit heavier. thats my experience.

what racket are you trying to modificate? when i used 12g lead tape in 9 and 3 o clock in my i prestige, the swingwheight was too high and i can't generate spin with my forehand. bye sorry my english is terrible

kirko, fair enough.... i should have stressed more that it was my opinion too, not the "truth" per se.

putting weight anywhere will move the sweetspot. only exception is 3 & 9 which will expand it left and right
