Well, I haven't tried the 16g of either, but going off of my experience with the 17g, MSV had the better spin potential.

Black code 16g
I havent tried MSV hex but i have tried black code 16g and felt that Black code didnt have exceptional spin potential but it still had enough. The Black code is soft and comfortable but it had bad tension maintenance.
