Who do you think will be the next #1 American?

Andy Roddick has held that spot for so long, but I think we might see a changing of the guard within the next year or two. Not that I think that Andy is going away any time soon, but guys like Querrey and Isner are really starting to come into their own. Personally I think Querrey will be the next #1 American. He still has some holes in his game but I think this guy has grand slam contention in his future. What do you guys think?

I think he has too many holes in his game to be a slam contender. So does Isner (as much as I like him). I suppose there's always a chance they could sneak through, but I don't see it happening. I see Roddick holding that #1 spot pretty much as long as he wants to.

Actually, Roddick hasn't held that one for too long.. I think james Blake was American no. 1 somewhere in 2006.
If Querrey or Isner is America's no. 1, the state of their tennis is quite bad. None of them is slam material.

I like Querrey more than Isner, has a bit more game and IMO has better footwork coordination; Although being a better mover than Isner isn't a big achievement. Querrey has more focus.

No one out there has the talent to be #1. Harrison is a bit hyped up. Saw him at the 2008 boys nationals in kalamazoo and he was dominated. Forehand is too predictable just hits a bullet down the middle, i'd like to see some variety from these young americans like murray.
