Who is Federer's tip for the title now?

I have read the press conference with Federer but i noticed there did not seem to be a question on who he thinks will go on to win the title now its something they usually do ask one of the favourites if they go out early!

Does anyone know if Federer as asked this and are there any quotes to his reply? I think it would be quite interesting to hear!

I really hope no one asked him that. I really don't like it when the press asks someone who's just lost, who they think will win it.

The answer should be: "Who cares? It's not me."

Fair point! it is just that to me not just is Federer a great champion but he is amazing tactically so would have been interesting to hear what he had to say?

To be fair I think Federer is a very humble guy win or lose! He has won the title 6 times! so if anyone knows what it takes to win it or who looks the most likely winner, he would! so with that in mind I think it would have been a fair enough question!

Didn't Andy Roddick do that once, at the French, I think?
"Who do you think is going to win?"
"Not me."

Fed is far too smart to be trapped by a question like that. He will just brush aside the question saying how well they are all playing, it's anybody's title now; they are all great players and all deserve to win and can win etc... blah blah blah.

He may not answer it directly but the way he potentially might have spoken of each of the remaining players would have given a strong indication as to how he saw events unfolding!

If he said "Connors in 5," how long would it take for all the tennis forums on the internet to go into meltdown, with everyone trying to find out which member is actually Roger Federer?

Did they ask him?

Soemtimes he offers an opinion, but to ask in the wake of such a loss would have been kind of rude.

I think the interviewers have stopped doing that so much this tournament after A-Rod pulled them up short after they asked him a couple of stupid questions.
