Ferrer,Berdych playing this one?Weird decision one week before RG to waste energy in this small event.

Does Roddick have a chance to get back into the top 10 if he plays well here? Or will his rankings breakdown make it tough for him

Gasquet not defending title?

Good decision. I guess he doesn't want to make the same mistake as last year, make the final of 2 tournaments just before RG, play final in Nice on Sunday and play 1st match at RG the next day or the day after.

The way this year's been going, I think Djokovic will find a way to win this from the practice courts in Paris.

Dimitrov retires against Andujar. Hopefully whatever's bothered him wont impact his French Open campaign.

Today is also his 20th birthday; he is no longer a teenager.

Gulbis to play Fognini battle of the headcases.

The Gulbis actually won a match. I'd be shocked if I weren't so bored with him and his lack of effort. :-?

What I'd really like to know is ... didn't Reeshard win last year? Where is he?

Did he and Sebastian decide he'd gotten enough warmup in Rome going to the semifinals?

Yeah Marcos Baghdatis likely first or second round exit at the French.

Did Roddick withdraw? It appears so because he's not listed on the draw anywhere.

Edit - Yeah confirmed Roddick has withdrawn with a shoulder injury, also in doubt for the French as well.

Dolgo up a double break in the first 4*-1 :) It looks like Ferrer is giving him some chances but Dolgo is making some nice plays to take them.

Tomas Berdych in the semifinals against Caesar Almagro. In what kind of form is the Iberian? I haven't watch him lately. I want Tomas to win this tournament.

Well, it doesn't look like Dolgo's going to win this. Down a set and a break, 3-6, 1-3 against Hanescu.

Hanescu looked good.

Berdych needs to crack his recent second set meltdown habit, got this title down.

It's all going pear-shaped for my idols. Berdych loses the first set 4-6 to Almagro, as does Schiavone to Wozniacki.

Almagro looking absolutely unstoppable, who can possibly tame this beast? Look at that backhand, LOOK AT THAT ****ING BACKHAND! It's unbelievable, it is simply not describable the level that this man is at. I have never seen such power combined with such precision and touch before, no one can come close to him. There is only one contender heading into the French now and it is the Murcia native. No one, NO ONE can stop these 120 mph forehands, 115 mph one handed backhands, 225 kph serves, and the clay court knowledge of the great Henry Clay himself. Unprecedented, inscrutable, and unfathomable is this level of play.

He's monstrous. I pity the old barsteward who has to face this barbarian when they move on to Paris. I really do.

Is it efficient scheduling to play so many 250s? You can have 3 max in your rankings breakdown, and Almagro currently holds 5 titles of that level.
Buenos Aires
Costa Do Sauipe
Båstad (drops in July)

non-countable
Gstaad (drops in August)
Nice

I guess he wouldn't have counted on winning so many.
