Who's better, Del Potro or Cilic

Similar achievements despite Del Potro losing like 5-6 years of prime tennis.

Del Potro and it's not even close, I mean come on. Just look at Cilic's record vs the big 4, Del Potro himself, Wawrinka, Zverev etc. He's barely got any wins. Del Potro has a respectable record against everybody and I've rarely seen him fold in a big match.

Ask any of big 4.. whom they would like to play in next round of a GS - Del potro or Cilic. You'll get an idea about your answer.

It’s the fourth thread of the same subject I see in the last year.
Though H2H arguments are not always welcome to settle this kind of issues, a 11-2 Del Potro leading H2H should just do it in this specific case.

if Cilic makes final tomorrow (all 4 slams) how would you compare him with DelPo now?
I love Cilic, and he’s certainly the more technically complete tennis player between the two, but let’s not get carried away.

Del Potro made a Wimbledon semifinal and ran into Djokovic, he made two Roland Garros semifinals and ran into Federer and Nadal, he made two quarterfinals in Australia and ran into Federer both times.

Cilic just played Mr. 500 and now he’s going to play Mr. 250. Now, Cilic did beat Federer en route to his US Open final and Nadal en route to his Australian Open one, but he’s nowhere near consistently near that level, and more importantly for this comparison, the 2016 Davis Cup Final.
