Why do all pros seem to use white overgrips (besides tourna)?

I use red Supergrap but notice that on very sweaty days the grip gets a bit slippery. Will try white next time and see if it's better.

Try yellow.

I don't know why but the white doesn't do it for me.
Yellow for some reason seems the tackiest and lasts longer than any other colour.

The white just looks so clean and it looks good on almost every racquet. It’s nice to keep your grip the same regardless of racquet or pj.

White stands out on TV and looks good on a racket of any color.

There is definitely a difference in feel between White and the other colors of overgrips in the grips that are "tacky". No real difference in the ones that are "soft" or "brushed" feel like Tourna. I'm not quite sure what causes the difference, but White, Brite Pink, and Lime, all play and feel similar. When you get anything beyond that, the grips are slightly "harder" and more "rubbery" feeling as well as getting a more "slick" feeling after playing with them for more than one or two sessions. On the upside, I have found that the Black versions of most of the overgrips last significantly longer than the white if you are ok with the feel. I constantly change grips and I also tape my fingers some and the difference in durability is immediately noticeable. I typically only play with White, Pink, or Lime because I like feel of those better.

Jelena Ostapenko uses the green pro overgrip with her blade. Personally I don’t like it as it is just dry feeling and not as tacky as white, but it seems she may do it for aesthetic reasons.

I believe Henman used a Karakal replacement grip (no overgrip) for the majority of his career.

I'm not quite sure what causes the difference,

White is colored via adding Titanium Dioxide (commonly called Ti Oxide). As colors darken, the more ink is typically added and the base will have less Ti Oxide and more base components like stabilizers to attempt a consistency of product across a particular product line.

Have/had a racquet with a Karakal grip. Believe it was blue, paler than Tourna-grip. Have a Prince racquet with a Balmforth leather grip. Grey

Yellow is oddly tacky. I actually have trouble serving with it sometimes because I simply can’t manipulate my hand/wrist in the way I want because the Racquet won’t budge from whatever position it started in.
I have a huge sweating problem and Yonex Supergrap is without a doubt the best performing OG. I’m newer to tennis and must have tried 20 brands before settling down. Maybe some old timers here remember an old formula of Tourna Grip, but when I tried several of them, it was absolute garbage. It could not hold up to my massive levels of sweating

I couldnt care less about a grips color.
i really like wilson pro perforated feel. It has better moisture absorption than regular wilson pro comfort but is still quite tacky and grippy. Wilson pro confort i think is what most pros use because it is pretty reliable and has good cushioning.
My favorite overgrip is wilson advantage absorbent which comes in black. It feels like suede leather and is very durable. I end up regripping it long before it starts getting worn out.

i dont like wilson racquets very much because of poor qc andspec consistency, but for overgrips wilson is pretty much king.
