Why is the the US open using tie-breaker for the final set.

Why is the the US open using tie-breaker for the final set... it takes the drama out of the fifth set in the men's play... I rather see a long drawn out fifth set.. they should change it ...especially in doubles..

My guess is that it works better for TV. The matches have a better chance of fitting into the allotted time.
