I hear everyone say Tommy was the biggest jury threat and that is why he had to be booted at the Final 5, but I often wonder why that is. To me his game isn't that great, he played an alright game, pretty good in competitions, great socially, decent reads, but he didn't make many big plays, and he was obsessed with getting the 6 together. I guess I would say he probably played a bit better game than 3 of the other Final 5- Cliff, Nicole, and maybe Holly, but it was far from amazing either.
I think he was only unbeatable in a jury vote due to how well liked he was. Jack, Sis, Nick, Christie all love him to bits. Jackson and Holly also loved him. Jess and Nicole liked him a lot. Kat and Cliff at worst had no beef with him. It had nothing to do with some amazing game, his game was very one dimensional and not even that good honestly. And his adaptability was horrendous.
It reminds me of Victor in Season 18 who also went out in 5th just like Tommy since he was the biggest jury threat and everyone said he would have been unbeatable if he made the Final 2. I think that is also due to how loved he was, similar to Tommy even though their games were different his game was good, but far from great. I don't think their being untouchable in a vote was game play related in either case.
