Wife's Racket - Need suggestions

My wife has a Babolot xs 102 racket. My wife is a hard head when it comes to changing so she will keep the same racket for years and years while I believe you need to change rackets to help improve your game.

I want my wife to try some new rackets. I plan to do the demo program with Your Serve and wanted some suggestions. My wife doesn't have a lot of power and places the ball but I want her to get a racket that will give her more power with less effort on her end because she tends to over hit when she feels like she needs to put a little extra on the ball to get it deep on the opponents side.

Looking for suggestions on rackets for her to try out in the demo program.

Thanks

Maybe switch out her strings?

What NRTP rating would you say she is? This might help others recommend a new racket.

My wife is a 4.0
4.0
Has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success. Occasionally forces errors when serving and teamwork in doubles is evident. Rallies may be lost due to impatience.

We play a lot of mixed doubles and so the racket would need to have both power and control for net play as well as baseline.

More power for less effort than a bab 102 xs?
Are you sure you don't want to buy a new frame yourself? ;-)

If you have ever used the Babolat XS 102 racket, I don't think you would have questioned the comment. The XS 102 doesn't have a lot of power at all. You have to really generate your own pace.

I used the XS 102 for a while, switched to the Prince Hyb 110 for more power. I'll also have the Wilson 99s.

Thanks

My wife got along great with the Prince O3 White. It's forgiving, easy on the arm, light, and provides good power and spin with a good sweetspot. I would recommend that all the way.

She did end up switching to a BLX blade just cause, but she used the O3 white from being a beginner to about a 3.5 where she is now.

You could give her your thoughts on it but obviously she should have the last word on it.

You plan to do the demo program?
You mean your wife plans to do the demo program right?

Or are you basically deciding everything for her?

I've had a Head Liquidmetal LM4 sitting in the closet forever as a spare racket for friends, but never really hit with it. It's completely out of my normal spec range, but recently I decided to take it for a spin and decided it's a pretty awesome racket that's comfortable and has plenty of free power. Swing weight is a little high though, but my wife likes it better than any of the other rackets I had her try (she's a total beginner), and gave her the best results.

Rather than changing her racquet, I think it would be better if you change her strings to multi or lower the string tension.

Hey, I'll make her think it's her idea LOL - No she doesn't want to do the demo program. Just told me her racket is fine.

I think this is what I'm going to have to do as she just told me last night that her racket is fine but she needs new strings as they are starting to wear. So now I really need to find some good strings that will give her more power yet also keep the control.

My other half is currently using a Bab Pulsion 102 with Mantis comfort synthetic and a Pure drive lite with Xcel 17. She loves the Pure drive's power and how light it is to swing. Yep, we are Bab fans (brainwashed to some) :)

Lol...My wife is the same way exactly! She does not care about sw, headsize or stiffness but sees it as just a tennis racquet that feels good to her. My wife has no issue buying a 5th Coach purse but views purchasing another racquet a waste of money...go figure.
