I was just checking out the 2010 ATP calendar. With the clay season coming. The Monte Carlo 1000, Rome 1000 and Madrid 1000 all warming up for the French Open. I was wondering if Nadal would end up injured and forced to pull from the French, or would he sit out any of the 1000 events. Personally, I think he will play Monte Carlo and Rome, sit out Madrid in preparation for the French.

I am no Nada fan. But I hope, and figure, he will do what he needs to do be in top form to play the French. Nada is the greatest clay court player ever.

Unfortunately, I think Nadal will play RG if it kills him. It's a rare chance for points in the weeks between it and Wimby. Nadal got incredibly lucky between Wimby and AO and he knows it. Something that keeps getting lost is NADAL HAS NOT BEAT A TOP 8 PLAYER SINCE MAY.
If you argue the Abu Dhabi exo account that
1. It was an exo
2. Soderling is #8 of the top 8
3. Soderling was injured

Rafa is in for a rough year this year as he is currently out for 4 weeks for rest and rehab. Then he will go for another exam to see where he is at.

Then the problem only gets worse, because he has so many points to defend before the FO. If he begins to work hard to get back into shape and tries to compete hard, he may re-injure himself again. Don't know if anyone has kept track but Rafa has been injured twice or more a year for the last 7 years. How much more will his body be able to take trying to get back?

Rafa will most likely drop 1 or 2 more places in the ranking over the next weeks and this means he will face tougher opponents much earlier. He will face more players who believe that they can take him out, along with with having to face Murray, Davydenko, delPotro, Cilic, Tsonga, and Gonzalez who will be looking to take out his legs.

It will be very interesting to see how Rafa deals with this matter and if he can better manage his health; if he doesn't, he won't have long before a final injury.

Cheers, TennezSport

If Rafa plays, as he has foolishly done many years now, Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Rome & Madrid without a break ... you can bet he's out of the French Open!

Nadal is typically stupid. Sorry Nadal fans! his scheduling is laughable and plays doubles in many events.

I do hope that nadal plays FO. If not then Federer will probably; moving closer to the clean sweep!

Nadal will play FO10 and will have another excuse injury when he's down a set and a break. Just wait and see.
