Which replacement grips do you think its best and moreover which color is best (since I heard different colors do play differently). I am looking for a dry, tacky, sweat absorbig grip which is as thin as possible. Thanks!

Dry-non of those listed provide a "dry" feel like a tournagrip or Babolat VS
Tacky- PK superwrap wins hands down, lasts longer too
Sweat absorbing-Even, none do the job significatly better than others
Thin- Wilson pro by a margin, supergrap and superwrap following short behind

Generally these types of synthetic grips dont play much differently in colors, but ive heard tourna's do. If your still concerned get white, its the stock form of every company so you can base you decision off that.

LOL have anything to back that up, or is it just that fact that you use one so we know its the best from your sig.

Oh excuse me, in my humble opinion, from my extensive and exhaustive playtesting all over the world, of all overgrips currently made, the Wilson Pro overgrip in white is the best. Is that ok Richard Head!!

Well i mean the guy comes in asking all different aspects of what overgrip is the best. And you simply just state that wilson pro is the best, wouldnt that lead him to be a little curious as to why? So playtest all you want over the world you still didnt give a reason why. Have you ever put much thought into the feel of overgrips? You still blantly stated the fact that its the best, and backed in up with you playing all over the world, is there a reason you prefer it more?

I always find tournagrip to be the thinnest followed by Babolat VS....Wilson Pro has a medium thickness. Tourna is also known to be the best sweat absorbing grip. In fact the only minus of toruna is that it wears out too quickly and it isnt the tackiest of all grips. Thats why i use Wilson Pro of Babolar VS instead as they are tackier and they last longer...but if your hands sweat a lot...there is nothing better then tournagrip.

Ok, i like the Wilson because to me it has a nice, not too-grippy, suede like, comfortable feel in my hands. It wears well, and is just the right thickness, to me a little thinner than the others. And white looks the best in my opinion.

I've tried five different overgrips (wilson, gamma, tourna, yonex and babolat). I can honestly tell you that Wilson's grip is the best, althoguh some may prefer tourna.

Well done, AJK... nice description.

I too have tried all Tourna, Yonex supergrapm etc... Wilson Pro is truly the best. Supergrap is close behind, it feels more like the Wilson X tra tack. The Wilson pro and the Yonex Supergrap are not the same.

Thanks for the reply. I don't want a grip that it's too soft either...does wilson has a soft feeling like the dunlop hydramax?

i dont know about the dunlop hydramax, but i do know that wilson has a sort of soft feeling to it. if you dont want that soft feeling, but the same type of overgrip as wilson, then get the yonex. it is tacky and tough. white yonex is the best, or whichever is best looking on your racuqet, which will usually be the white yonex overgrip

"Best" is relative.

There is no "best" overgrip. There are best grips for each individual player.

People swear by Tournagrip. I hate it. To me, it feels like kleenex after an hour. But that's just me. Some people probably love that soggy-worn-out-paper feel.

People swear by Wilson Pro. I love it. Nice feel. Resonable durability.

But if force to chose, I'd swear by Gamma Supreme. And I'm sure someone out there has a very good reason why I must be absolutely high for thinking this way.

So, if you really want to know what the "best" overgrip is, try all these grips that everyone is recommending for yourself. Then you'll know for sure.

(And then you can post here, with your own recommendation, with unwavering conviction.) ;)

I like the Wilson Pro (white) overgrip the best. they do have many different colors of the pro overgrip though.

Glad to hear it. I usually use Supergrap, which is great, but wanted to try something thicker and equally tacky, and from what I read on the TW reviews sounds like Gamma Supreme may fit the bill so I just picked some up.

I recently tried laserfibre, which is a little bit thicker than super grap, but seems to loose its tackiness a bit faster, at least in cooler weather, but the jury is still out on it. Other problem is TW is the only place that carries Lasefibre and they are all out till the end of Oct.

I use Gamma Supreme, it has a nice tacky feel and is pretty durable, it keeps its tackiness for a long time. I don't sweat too much, at least my hands don't, so I'm not sure how good sweat absorption is between grips cuz I've never had that issue with any of them.

The gamma supreme has just a bit of cushiness to it, it's thicker but not as soft as the Wilson pro. I like the feel though, in the beginning it's really sticky but is just right after a session or so. Main thing is it's a tad thicker than the Wilson.

So, Virgilio, did you ever make a decision on what to try?

If not, my advice is to by a 3-pack or two of each overgrip and try them all. I'm doing the same thing with those exact three overgrips. It's not too expensive a way to go, and all of them will work well for you -- but you'll probably end up deciding that you like one better than the others.

At the same time, I don't think that experimenting with the others would be wasted money, either, since all will do the job you want done and the difference between them might actually seem marginal to you.

If one is a standout winner, you've got your new overgrip. :)

I started by trying Yonex Supergrap....with two different colors...honestly I think there's a difference between colors. Light blue is way better than dark blue. Also I bought Gamma Supreme, but haven't tried it yet of course. Will kee p you updated.

i only use wilson pro white

Like one or two others. I hear you guys when you say "Wilson Pro" and that (to me) needs no real explanation. But does the "white" really make any difference? Does it actually feel any different than, say, the gray? Or is it that you guys just like white? I'm really curious since I've yet to see an explanation of whether the white colored grips play better or ???. I'd appreciate further insight, if you care to provide it. Thanks! :)
