Wimbledon Dark Horse: Isner

If Isner is seeded #16 I think he will have picked up enough steam by 4th round to take out anyone except Roger or Rafa, and maybe an inform Roddick. Isner's game has improved so much the past few years and even since January.

He's got 0 points to defend at Wimbledon and I think he'll be close to if not in top 10 at end of the year. I look forward to see him playing one of the warm up events, Queens I assume?

tall guys will struggle to get down low to slices. look at del po.

I'd have to agree with the original poster that Isner could, potentially, be a factor. I think he'd been more of a factor in years gone by that the courts were faster but I still have to think that his game should stand up fairly even on the current grass. I'd like to see some more old school serve/volley out of the big guy personally.

agree with OP.

thing is though, isner NEEDS to come to net. he tries to play a baseline game, but unfortunatly for him he doesnt have semi-good movement like other tall guys (del po, querrey).

coming to net will solve a lot of problems for him. if he uses his big serve and forehand and just gets to the net after 2-3 strokes, he'll be able to have a good showing.

Isner moves better than Querrey.

A dark horse only to reach 4th round, doesn't make sense?
