Yonex RD Ti80

Has anybody thought the newer Yonex RD Ti80 played different than the original?

I have always played with the Orange/Bronze colored racket, but recently bought a newer version. The newer version is the Schrichaphan red/blue racket.

It just seems to play differently. The sound at impact even sounds differently. At first I thought it was the strings, but I changed those out and it still doesn't seem right.

The ball seems to "fly" on the new racket. It seems to have less control possibly.

Has anybody else noticed this?? I am just wondering if it is just this one racket I bought, or if all the newer TI 80's were this way?

I really liked the older TI80 but I am very disappointed in this newer version.

Your input is greatly appreciated.:)

I currently own the red 80 and used to own the orange 80 - both in same 1/2 grip size. I've used (mainly) the same string in both. I feel NO difference at all.

If your red and orange were different grip sizes you have two frames w/different static weights (it's a Yonex thing)

I find that when I get new(er) versions of racquets I have been using, I always notice a difference in feel.

No change in grip size

The grip sizes are the same so the weight should be the same.

Could the flex of the racket changed due to the orange racket being about 3 to 4 years old???? Is that possible???

Thanks

If you play the old for 3-4 years everyday, yes it's possible. But if it was hung all entire, it's impossible.
