Zverev-Djokovic reminds me of Murray-Djokovic

Yes, Sasha has more fire power and is slightly less tactical than Andy, but the differences end there...
If anything, Nole has added some elements of Murray's game to his own.

Basically their matches have the same patterns of play, two great BH going toe to toe, lots of baseline rally balls. Murray also had a hot 1st serve and not so much the 2nd, was mentally weaker than his nemesis and his FH was a bit vulnerable at times.
Their matches have the swings of momentum and theoretically should have drama, which is not really there. Mostly, they look like they are not doing anything too special, due to the similarity of style. One guy manages to beat the other occasionally, but not where it matters the most.
Even the Olympics scenario was there...

I have always thought Zverev's game is the closest to Murray's. He has more power maybe, but their style looks very similar. They are much better players when they're offensive, making winners and inside the courts ; but in most matches they choose to stay defensive and 3m behind the baseline. And they're more vulnerable in that position.

Murray also struggled a lot in slams for a very long time. He won his first Major 4 years after his first final. Zverev has the same issues so far in his career. I believe it will change at some point, but when IDK.

Murray is a mental giant compared to Zverev. Can anyone name a single match Andy Murray choked? I can't think of a single one. Sure, he's often been outplayed by the Big 3 in slams, but he's never choked. - unlike Zverev who mightily chokes in big slam matches. He's also the superior player to Zverev and will probably end up having the superior career.

Largely agree.

Only exception is maybe Shanghai ‘12 - but Novak was Lazarus on those 5 CPs.

How about feather gate? Or going away after 1 set of an RG final? Or not daring to play offensive for I don't know how many slam finals even though he must have known his standard game wouldn't get the job done?
(btw, not saying he's not mentally stronger than Z, of course he is and by a massive margin).

Add these to the list:

-Losing focus because of the way Joe behaves.

-Passive play in the earlier rounds.

-Waste a whole year trying to turn into a woman.
