Is UNIQLO selling Djoko's tennis wear or not?

I have been looking, but so far have not really come across any conclusive information. Some sources mentione that the line should have been launched last year in August.

Is UNIQLO selling the Djokovic tennis line? Somewhere? In Japan? I've been to 2 outlets in Singapore - nothing.
If anybody knows something, thanks for sharing.

One of my Japanese friends was wearing Djokovic's 2012 US Open top, he told me he bought it in Japan so I'm just going to assume you can only purchase uniqlo tennis gear in Japan

well maybe it was available in japan too but the only time I know that uniqlo sold tennis apparel was during the us open 2012 at NYC. I bought a jacket, polo, and wristbands haha

No, it did not sell in Japan.
The only place that were selling his USO apparel was the store in NYC.
No other UNIQLO store sold his stuff.
Also, Nishikori clothes are sold on-line in Japan by UNIQLO

Online store exclusive! It sucks. Why can't they just make it available in all Uniqlo stores worldwide? Are they afraid they would actually make some more money by doing this?

Is this new strategy for uniqlo to release past season gears?
I am curious about materials though. Time to contact my family members haha.

It looks like this is just the first step and there will be more to follow, though I gather 'available in all Uniqlo stores worldwide' won't happen any time soon, if ever.

Seems like uniqlo is serious about sports apparel bussiness.
They try to get into golf too ( they signed Adam Scott a few days ago).

Yeah Adam was wearing the brand at the Masters this week. It is different for a company to pay the top player in the world probably a lot of money. They did take him from Sergio before the French Open last year. You would think they would want to recoup the money they are paying him. Why pay him to wear the clothes if you get nothing in return. Damn just give me free outfits for tournaments if you want nothing in return. It doesn't sound like smart business, one year later and the general public can't get the outfits all over the world.

Maybe all Uniqlo want from Djoko is global brand recognition rather than tennis-specific sales.

If you are paying a tennis player to wear the clothes. You would want the general tennis public to buy set clothes. He isn't wearing shoes or suits from the company. He is selling the tennis line when he wears them playing. If it is brand recognition, then why not sell the brand he is wearing?. There is no company that pay's someone to wear the brand just so they can say " look Djokovic is wearing our clothes '. We are global but we wont make any money off of this because we are not selling the clothes... There goes are whatever millions we are paying him. We should give raises for all our marketing division for us losing money..

that might be uniqlo's vision.
Djokovic started modeling uniqlo's new line which is "Airism" inner wear.
I heard that His face is all over the bus stops in Korea.
Funny thing is the ad has djokovic and famous korean actress but very few people reconignize djokovic. Most of korean think it's just foreign model.
Also there is TV commercial too. Ad claims that Airism inner wear is so comfortable that Djokovic wears even during the match:confused: actually I don't believe that haha.

Young people adulate sports people but Uniqlo doesn't think it can beat Nikedas on its own turf so they attract people to their brand with sports stars and hope they sell more twenty something fashion as a result.

Sounds like a good strategy to me, although its a bit of a tease if you really would like to wear his tennis gear.

They are flogging his 'innerwear' on their front page at the moment so he's pretty important to them.

I just bought a white vneck shirt similar to the white collar one he wore previously at wimby here in Taipei. I think Japan has all the original stuff to sell, but other countries seem to have the toned down, non collar versions.

Compared to the prices of their usual stuff there's a big difference in the price for the Djoko line.

I went there. They have pretty much everything from all the slam since 12 until his AO13 gear. They also sell track suits, hats, wrist bands, and socks.

I got the AO13 and Wimby 12 jerseys. Prices are reasonable compared to Nike Adidas, but still about 2x more than a regular uniqlo poly.

Qty is limited I guess.

299HKD for a Djokovic Polo , which i saw from my friends Facebook page..will get prices when my friend replies :/

Prices in Hong Kong is very nice slightly below $40.
Price for polos were about $43 in Japan and Korea $53 in Korea.

Compare to polo, Hat might be overpriced but Prices in Hong Kong are still good.
Wristbands are $11.50 in Korea ouch...

Guess Uniqlo did OK in the Masters today.

Yes, that win will open up the Aussie market for them quite nicely. The "AS" logo on the back of the shirt indicates to me they are willing to tie their wagon to Scott's success. Maybe another tennis prodigy will cash in with them soon with a similar signature deal.

I just played tonight in the Djoker jersey. It's not bad. Nothing below my expectations of a poly shirt.
