How does the Wilson Clash flex compared to the Prince Phantoms?

The Clash review got me all excited about a flexible offering from Wilson but I'm curious about how this frame compares to the Prince Phantom line (the Phantom 100) for example? More or less flexy? More or less feel?

anyone on the team able to answer this? Many thanks in advance.

Not on the team lol, but I won the Clash in a giveaway, and I have played with some phantoms in the past. I'll follow up with the results once I receive the frame in around a week. Remind me If I don't.

I'm expecting the Clash to be flexier though

I've hit with both but not next to each other. The phantom is soft in a very traditional way. Buttery comes to mind. The Clash is very crisp. The complete opposite of buttery. They both have good touch but in my opinion the feel is completely opposite.

I'd have to agree with this. The Phantom is very buttery and smooth. With a dampener and a soft string it's almost as if you don't feel yourself hitting the ball. Just kinda plows right through it. I got to playtest the prototype clash. It's totally different feeling and hard to explain. I would definitely recommend you demo it.
But I would agree it's kinda crisp, the string bed feels like a trampoline, and the comfort is also great. Try it!

I agree with previous replies. The Phantom 100, or Pro 100 are very flexible feeling, buttery, smooth. More of a traditional response from a thin/flexible beam. The feel of the Clash is more crisp, almost like the feel of a Pure Drive or a Wilson Burn on the direct contact, but there is no residual jarring feel. You can tell that there is a good amount of flex in the throat, but it is somewhat hidden behind the big "pop" of the ball leaving the string-bed. For me, having used more traditional players racquets over the years, I find more feel, and touch with the Phantom 100, or Pro 100. I could feel the ball well with the Clash 100 Tour, but it took some getting used to.

Just had a hit with the clash tonight and it had a soft comfortable feel, but it didn't feel like the hoop was flexing that much. The phantom pro is similar in softness and comfort, but I can absolutely feel the hoop "giving" some on shots. Depending on your preference, the phantom feel might be described as buttery or noodley.

Another difference is the phantom has a higher launch than the clash. Both suck for serving, unfortunately.

With some more weight, I would say the clash would be closer to making my bag due to the direct feedback and lower launch.
