"l'Enfant Prodige" Lorenzo Musetti's Racquet mystery (HEAD)

Since he won 2019 AO single boys, Italian fans see in him the new tennis prodigy. And, of course, everybody wants to know what racquet he's using. Even if nobody agrees on that subject - some claiming it's a retail Prestige Pro Touch, others TGT something, and even one PT57A in 16x19 claimer - there is at least one consensus : it is a 95 sq/inch racquet ; which is very tasty as some on this forum claim that this particular head size is not used by young guns and will die pretty soon.

An italian guy said that Lorenzo himself told him he gets his racquets from Austria. Could it be a recent mold but made in austria? Or is it just where Head pro room is located?

From your first photo it looks retail as the racquet is matte finish. All Prestige Pro Stock are glossy.
Having said that it looks like the Touch Prestige S

It says Prestige S on the racquet from the second photo I posted. The Pro and the S are the same mold. Just different weight.

Yeah the point where the frame meets the handle looks Prestige Pro like to me. It is tapered there, rather that flat like the MP's or PT57's

The S is thicker than then pros in the latest versions.

I am haf Italian half french. I speak both. L'Enfant Prodige would be translated "Il bimbo prodigio" or "Il ragazzo prodigio". Certainly not "Lo bambino prodigio".
It is very common in Italy to use French sentences, like you english speakers, as it can sound and look classy.

Another Italian forum member said that the head pro local is already weighting his racquet around 350g. He got this info from a conversation he had with the prodigy himself.

My Spatalian was all about his given name, Lo-renzo. Quite literally, “enfant” is not “ragazzo”. I’ll live with “bimbo” for “enfant” but the English phrase for “l’enfant prodige” is “child prodigy”, hence my guess that “bambino” is the closest non gender specific term.

Both are 22mm wide and have been since HEAD changed the Pro to the S mold with Graphene. In other words S and Pro have been the same mold since first Graphene series and continue to share the same mold with Touch Graphene

I looked up some Italians sites since I'm Italian I could read what they said and it looks like it's a Head Pro 18x20.
Gioca con una head pro room 18/20.
Ne parlai con lui è suo padre che mi ha detto gliele mandano dall’austria.
Adesso mi sa che è sui 350 g finita inizialmente era più leggera ( fino a due anni fa)
Le corde mi sa che sono sempre head( hawk dovrebbero essere o almeno così ricordo perché anche io ero curioso) ma può darsi che crescendo e,adesso,essendo seguito da tecnici trai quali anche Medri che lo vede a Tirrenia, abbia cambiato armeggio.

When younger I found a pic of him using the grapheme radical pro.
Some people mentioned the Head touch pro as well.

I think they were talking about the prestige one we saw in the first pics. The tennis forum chats dates January 2019.
They also mentioned that with the new team he would probably change racquet, which is probably what we saw in the last pic...the black head.

He is using HEAD Hawk Rough and Lynx Tour both in 17g.

When will Head ever again get a player with decent star quality to endorse the prestige line! It could be done of course with paintjobs in worst case but it kind of seems line they dont care anymore....

HEAD is working on it. Development of next Prestige line is about to start again now and maybe some things can be improved again.

Alex Popyrin could probably be such a player in the near future.

This is possible. He also playtested this "black" frame in the off season and then switched back and forth. Not sure about his final decission.
