Prince Textreme Tour 100 (310) Thread

I've been playing with a couple o3 speedport tours for over a decade now. I love those racquets, but am curious about how the TT100 feels. I feel like a could make a change, and with the 4th of July sale going on, seems like it's a great deal.

I pulled the trigger on the TT100 (310) due to the sale.
Great price !

I demo'ed the TT100P (18x20) and hated it.
Everything went into the net.
But, demo tells you nothing.
I will string to my pref (ZX) and get used to it.

It is basically the specs I want.
16x18 (not either extreme)
100 sq in. (I felt at a disadvantage using 93. )
65RA medium flex. (50's Phantom had no power at all)

Picking up a pair of TT100 310 during this 30% off sale.
Will buy the "TW racquet matching service" to get a matching pair close to advertised specs...
FYI: Had to call TW since the string special discount wasn't applying for the Prince Diablo Pro strings.
Looking forward to the transition from the Yonex Vcore Pro 97 310. I have history with the PP100 (O3) and PP Pro 100 16x18.
Hopefully the TT100 310 flat serve is not too bad.

@whorng Why are you ditching the Yonex Vcore Pro 97 310
Wanting something more forgiving (bigger head size) / easier to wield.
I can hit powerful ground strokes and serves, but my consistency is all over the place. (Unforced errors murder my game.)
I usually buy used sticks but could not resist the "buy 2 or more" promotion stacking with the 30% off.
Haven't ditched the Yonex yet. ;)

You think 3 sq inches will make any difference?
I'll take what I can get.
Also some have complained about the VCP97 stability whereas the TT100 doesn't have that issue.
As a flexible frame user for the past few years I want to try something stiffer.
Maybe I can find some magic here.

Yes. I have both stick... it's not only the 3sq inches. Thicker beam etc. Prince tt100(310) is definitely easier to use. Its stable as a tank. You will never get pushed around. For those who are worried about whether this is stiffer.. for me its 100% more comfortable than vcp97. Having said all this, I love both sticks.. vcp97 has insane precision to me. I can hit some shots that I didnt think I had it in me. But with vcp97.. you have to put the work in a little bit more.. and tt100 has easier power etc...cant go wrong with either stick in my book.. ohhh I also ordered my 2nd tt100 on this sale. And finally ordered 93p that I have been always contemplating.

Been meaning to recommend you this one as I saw your ongoing search for a racquet.. let us know what you think..
I have also both tt100p 2019 and 2015. For some reason tt100p 2019 launch angle throws me off too. Even though 2015 version works well for me.. weird.. I blamed the strings.. I dont think I have found the right string in it. Will give it one more chance as I am intrigued by 18x20 pattern control combined with tt100 mold.. on paper should be great combo.
But with tt100 310 you will get much higher launch angle.. no more hitting the net for you

I am currently hitting with the Phantom Pro 100P. I love the comfort and stability of my 100P's. But it fly through strings and would love a little extra power.

Has anyone hit with both the Pro 100P and TT 100 (310) that could give me a comparison? Is the string pattern a little tighter in the TT 100?
Played both the other day. The TT feels more like a blade and the PP feels like all the other racquets

After a run of poor play with my heavier PKs and Phantoms in the last couple of weeks I hit with my TT again tonight and fell in love again lol.

Such a great frame. Giving it another go with Velocity, but gave it a bit of a pre-stretch this time, hoping to mitigate some of the issues I had with tension loss and unpredictability.

Otherwise I may just have to accept I need to string every couple of weeks.

Have a couple of matches over the next two days (including a very tough singles draw) - if all goes well I'll pick up another frame, likely the O3 version so I can see how they compare.

Yeah so it's an interesting similar experience here. Everytime I try to switch to a different frame and I pick my tt310 back up; I appreciate it even more each time.. such a solid frame.
Which velo are you using? Natural, black or yellow? I hit with 16g natural...held tension ok.. I didnt mind it even at the end of its life..

I've got reels of natural and black, both 16 (currently using natural)

Hey guys, I‘m currently playing the phantom pro 100p but am thinking to switch to this one because of some extra power. Anybody played both and able to tell me, if it‘s more of a noticeable boost or quite subtle. I dont have trouble generating pace, when I‘m positioned well. When the matches get longer against heavy hitters though and I’m in defense and pushed back, I find it quite tough to find enough depth, so I‘m wondering if the extra power of the tour 310 could help.
I can‘t play something like a puredrive because of my wrist. So what I read so far sounds like the tour could be a nice compromise between power and comfort for me.

Yes, and its not a compromise, the tour is the better racquet.;) Maybe not so much free power like de PD, but the blend of power and control is perfect. The comfort is great for 65RA.

I haven't used the 100P but have spent a decent amount of time hitting with the standard ported Phantom 100 and the 320 18x20.

The TT is definitely not as comfortable, though it is still very arm-friendly compared to most 'similar' frames. You get a noticeable power boost over the Phantoms but it is still very controllable.

I tend to start dubs matches with my Phantom 320 as I love the comfort, feel and how it plays at net - but if I find I need an extra gear I'd grab the TT. For singles, the TT is the clear winner.

Totally agree.
I played for almost one year with PP100 16x18 and I was lacking power and maniability.
Now with my new TT100 O3 290g, I have much better power, maniability and spin. Also better stability and near the same comfort.
Love it so much!!!

Thanks guys, that sounds compelling!
Another thing: I find my 100p does feel a bit jarring when I hit the ball in the upper hoop. (which doesn‘t happen too rarely, maybe because when I started playing tennis I accidentally bought a plus racket) I dont get arm problems from that but still it doesn’t feel nice. I didn‘t have that felling, when testing the wilson ultra tour for example.
Jason stated the same thing about the tour, some people here said the opposite, so I‘d love to hear some more opinions on that.

I am in the exact same situation. I have the TT100 (310) and TT100P coming as demos.

Some thin beam racquets with low RA can have high vibration which dampener would help with... I thought 100p was very high vibrations as well. I framed overheads couple of times and it was actually painful aside from being unpleasant. So yes, I did have similar experience with phantom 100p. Tour is solid as a tank for its weight to me. you wont really have that problem. To me is also a better racquet... it's better depth control and power and in a way since it doesnt buzz.. I would even say more comfortable frame for me to play with than 100p

Yes but the question remains, is it going to be released in the US and if so, when? :)

I have it in my bag already, man... But for US guys it's another story......

Well there is a lot of stuff we can't get here in Europe from TWE so we have to order from TW US - so I guess the other way around should not be a big problem for our American friends.

For some reason TW won't ship Prince to EU anymore, I hope for the US guys it is not the same, the other way around.

Cheers, Toby

Hi Toby, are you still rocking the previous gen tt100p? Or found something you like better?

YES I still like the TT95 and TT100P (both 2015 versions) a lot, they are absolutely great racquets - BUT I made the mistake of trying out Angell racquets, so unfortunately my Prince T Tours don't get much court time any more.

Cheers, Toby

What is truly incomprehensible is that Prince is an American brand.......

Interesting prototypes!
But it's really different with the O3 versions of the new TT100 that are available in Europe and not in US...

Is there a reason why US citizen cant shop internationally ?

Just buy it at TWE and have it shipped to US, should be no big problem, I do the reverse all the time.

If you are happy to pay massive shipping cost, good for you!

O3 probably doesn't sell well in the US. No point spending the time and resources to only sell a few.
It's $19 to ship from TWE to US. Not too bad if you really really want a Textreme O3...

Today I called for my TT100 310 racquet matching and to get advertised specs.
Logistics hiccup since only California can do customizations and the racquets are in Georgia, but there is a RDC machine for matching services.
Racquet tech tried his best to find two matching sticks close as possible to spec.
Best was 302g unstrung... so 8g off spec... Prince QC fail (n). Wanted advertised spec for better stability.
Balance 10 HL and swingweight 284 so at least something is right.
Still tho, looking forward to hitting and perhaps using weights for the 1st time.

Imho the o3s should be a separate lineup.

Instead of springling it in between B, T, P; just have a ported lineup of medium, soft and very soft feel oport line.

Prince to me is frankensteins monster: good parts in a lot of areas but not put together in the optimum whole.

I'm beginning to be curious about Angell 18x20 too. Shame they don't do TC100 in 18x20. Which Angell frame are you using?
