So because he had one mighty impressive year in 2011, that excuses every other time he benfitted from weaker competition?
Lol, and he was actually bashing Federer and Nadal for their 2017-2018 competition in the same comment. As if they never had tough competition before. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Seems you never want anybody to say it about Novak though.....
Nothing new. Djokovic fans NEVER admit that he also had some easy draws in his career. They are ready to hype 2015 Nadal and that terrible version of Murray which showed up in RG 2016 final.

I actually partly/mostly agree with you fully which is rare. NoleFam is still a good poster though IMO.

2004 was the last year the clay field was strong and Fed wasn't in his clay prime yet.

And he won 2009 indeed but he hadn't won the previous 3 Slams dude
Djokovic beat three times Federer to complete the NCYGS. How do you feel about it?

Peak Djokovic vs 34-35 year old Federer. Where are all the ATG's 5-6 years younger than Djokovic? Who is he beating now? Berrettini? No, wait Berrettini is booked by Nadal.

Federer sets score before facing Djokovic:

2015 Wimbledon 18-1
2015 Us Open 18-0
2016 Australian Open 15-1

This is indeed one of the best achievements from recent history and not seen in media as much as it deserves. If Federer was the one who did this, it would have been mentioned much more.
But also it is true that it was easier to do this in Djokovic's era and due to the new homogenized surfaces, i think we will see many 4 in a rows (maybe CYGS) after big 3 retires.Because new gen is fully inconsistent and it needs only one average player to be consistent enough to feast on this.

Novak's 4 in a row is an underrated achievement for sure but pales in comparison to Fed's 2004-07 run.

Novak's 4 in a row is FACT...

Anything else that include prime or any other version of Nadal is just a OPINION, the bad one... Nadal, or any other player has nothing to with NCYGS... Fact...
Djokovic beat a crappy Nadal in 2015 and didn't beat him in 2016 when he won the 4th Slam in a row. All facts.

I also said 2016 was a weaker year. I don't get where this is going. Point is, Djokovic had already proven years before that he could dominate even when the competition is strong and funny how I am hearing how he is only winning now because the competition is weak but many posters in here must have forgotten 2017 and half of 2018.

Opinion for 2015, true for 2016, true that doesn't affect fact of Novak's 4 in a row...

What if I say Federer don't have carieer slam because he didn't win against Nadal?

You said the 1st half was great in 2016 which is where Djokovic was winning and the second half was weak in a thread of 2003-10 vs 2011-19. No good fan says Djokovic needed weak competition and Djokovic fans like Lew are vocal on the topic. When Fedal were dominating in 2017-mid 18 i am pretty sure that many of them were calling it weak i heard it constantly.

I actually said the first half of 2016 was "pretty good", not great, and this includes Wimbledon where Djokovic lost in the 3rd round. I thought the USO was weak where he lost in the final. AO was pretty good with Wawrinka/Raonic and Murray/Raonic, the clay season was entertaining and well played from Djokovic/Murray/Nadal, and Wimbledon was good, at least until the final. It was the second half when the level went way down for multiple reasons not even including Djokovic. Also, Djokovic won 2 Slams in 2018, one of them with a soft draw, so of course he has won Slams that could be considered weaker. The issue I have is when people try to say the only reason he is dominating is because the competition is weak while ignoring what happened in 2017 and first half of 2018, like no one remembers how dismal the opposition was, and ignoring what he did years before 2015.

True. The competition is always strong when Djokovic is winning and very weak when he is not winning. The logic of Djokovic fans on this forum.

No your logic is when Djokovic is winning the competition must be weak, which is all you have been saying non-stop in this thread. Anything to take the shine away from his best achievements because you can never admit, he was better than your guy. According to you, Djokovic is peak at nearly 33 and Nadal is in a nursing home. Sit down. Lol.

I hardly see people say Djokovic only won due to weak competition but he had it i also see lots of people at least give him credit from 2011-13. Like i say about 2017 people were calling it weaker everywhere read around ....
I disagree with 2016 even in the first half being good while 2004/2006/2010 were weak but that does not matter since that is my opinion. 2016 in the first half still had Djokovic/Murray and even a good Nadal on clay so i see were you come from a bit.

You say Djokovic had some softer draws now but IMO this is not the general narrative from Djokovic fans who talk about competition so much. No hard feelings your a good posters just felt i had to type this.

Because RG 2016 was a weak slam. Murray was absolutely terrible after the first set. You are trying to prove that him playing 5 sets against the likes of Stepanek and Bourgue (when will I finally remember the name, omfg?) is an excuse, you don't even realize that if Murray was as good as you are trying to say he was he wouldn't struggle against such nobodies. If that Murray is not a weak opponent for a slam final then I have no idea who is. And let's not forget that Djokovic never managed to win RG with a different draw. And never will, because Djokovic Open is not RG, this is a different tournament now.

What the hell? Ok, Djokovic fanboys might believe that Nadal who needs 3 hours to beat Monfils is peak Nadal on clay. But why are you writing this nonsense? Right, forget 2008, 2010, 2012, 2017 Nadal and all others...2016 is when he reached his clay peak! I guess 2008 Nadal is just too lucky he didn't have to face the beasts Monfils and Murray in RG, they would own him. And if 2008 Nadal had to face 2016 Djokovic in RG he would suffer a 6-1 6-2 6-2 beatdown, right?

Good for general standard before RG. Well below his peak/prime standards sure. Rest is a bit too far i do not think serious people think that way.

Then you must not be looking hard enough. Basically the theme in this thread is Djokovic won 4 in a row because of weak competition.

2017 was not strong in anyway and even weaker than 2016. Are you denying this?

It's not like I'm going around calling 2004/2006/2010 weak so I don't know why you are repeating this. Do I think any of those were strong? No but that doesn't necessarily mean weak either. The only one I probably went hard on was 2006.

Well Djokovic overall, arguably, had it tougher and even former pros have commonly said this. Look at his draws at the USO, for example, and then look at how many top 5 wins he has in Australia. He has even more than Federer who's played 6 years longer. So yea you're not going to see the average Djokovic fan talking about all these soft draws when it comes to him.

Yea Murray was extremely weak at RG 2016, which is your favorite topic, all while ignoring his brilliance in taking down Wawrinka. Murray was the best clay player in 2016 going into the RG final with the most points so you can blow as much hot air as you like, but Djokovic won RG 2016 fair square. Get over it.

LOL!!! Seek help. He struggled against nobodies during the tournament and played an absolutely terrible final, yet you are bringing one decent match which he played? By taking out Wawrinka he only saved your hero from another loss in RG final and you know that. Djokovic fans can never admit that he faced a weak opponent in a slam final. I'll not be surprised if you also believe 2016 Djokovic is the highest level on clay in history and would beat 2008 Nadal.

I need to seek help? Lol. You're the poster who can't get over Djokovic's RG win and reliving it out in your mind everyday because you can't accept what he achieved that day. Create every scenario in your mind, including losing to Wawrinka and I would have loved to see him try to repeat 2015 in those damp conditions, but don't forget who holds the trophy.

Wawrinka would at least give a much bigger fight than Murray did. 2016 was not even Djokovic's highest level in RG.

I do not see a big difference between 2016 and 2017 to tell the truth. Maybe 2016 by a little bit. 2014/2015 were much better than both of course.

In Djokovic era the top opponent's actually broke all types of records which is way you have Lew around. But to me he has taken advantage of the last few years the most and well keep doing so it so that is the flip side.

The rest is fair you do not gloat opinions like others here maybe i misread you on the competition bit.

Not a big difference but there is a difference, at least in my view.

He has taken advantage the most? False. Fedal are much better in taking advantage of dips in opposition thsn Djokovic is. They almost always capitalize. He fumbled more often like 2015 RG and 2016 USO.

Fair enough.

Even some of his fans admit that in RG 2011 and 2013 he played better than in RG 2016, but ended up facing stronger opponents. But according to you Djokovic only plays well when he wins, when he loses he is always terrible. Funniest thing is that you keep saying Nadal only wins in USO because of weak draws, but you hate when same stuff is being written about Djokovic. Keep believing that Djokovic in RG 2016 is the highest clay level in the history of tennis. :-D :-D :-D :-D

I wonder why Nadal fans never hype his wins over Murray in RG 2011 and 2014 semifinals. According to Djokovic fans that were wins over the god of clay who has a higher peak than 2008 Nadal. I guess we should hype this more.
